A little bit of walking down of SP?
A little bit of impatience and toy throwing from newer investors, disappointed that the recent RNS’ weren’t the Big JV or takeover news?
Rm’s Proactive Investor interview from yesterday:
https://youtu.be/uvHGsl4KfJE
I just revisited it and noticed a few things I had missed (or had missed the full significance of) not least that the positive effects of SNG001 are not compromised by oral steroids whereas other interferon treatments are. - I feel this gives us something of a moat. RM also reiterated how big the COPD market is and how patients will likely need SNG001 each Winter season.
Oh, and of course there’s that tantalising moment in the interview when RM says “We haven’t announced anything yet” with an emphasis that - if you know anything about communication - suggests that there IS something to announce. It just can’t be announced right now.
Graking - you say you have “a shedload of shares” in this company and you want to sell them. Wouldn’t it be wiser to stop talking the company down? If you want a good price that is? What you are doing seems very counterintuitive. Please don’t ever take up poker.
Not disappointing, more of a necessary milestone. Was never going to boost the SP like confirmation of a JV or license or regulatory approval. But these things are no doubt edging closer
Right. So, looking back at what he said, it seems he happened to invoke successful treatments (probably alluding to Synairgen along with Dexawhatsit) in the same breath as tech and testing, basically to justify spending more on tech and testing. Oh well. Moving on...
I suspect you are right, Dumbpunter.
Some ministers or their pals must have shares in a few AI companies
How does this 50 million AI fund relate to (or benefit) Synairgen? Unless I’ve missed something, we are focused on a therapeutic treatment and not the tech or testing side of things. Happy to be educated!
I’d just like to thank the various people (mentioning no names, Macosta and others) who visit this board out of the goodness of their hearts to share their wise words of caution. But for me - having done a lot of research - I see two viable options here with this company. Hold and make a big profit or worst case scenario, hold and make a modest profit. And that’s ignoring the massive rise in the SP in July. But thanks all the same for your thoughts. Motivated by pure Buddha-like compassion
If the ads were truly based on my browsing history, there would be loads more porn.
Bloody hell, could that guy shout any louder into his distorted microphone?? I thought it was a sketch to begin with ??
Thank you for the link, Tommy. Some species of JV seems most likely (and possibly most desirable) scenario.
Thanks Tyla. That’s a practical workaround. If anything does rip, I’ll claim it’s just the distressed look.
(Off topic, only slightly) Why do I keep getting ads on this site for women’s lingerie. It’s lovely stuff - all lace and cutout areas - but as a 45 yr old man I’m concerned I wouldn’t fit into a lot of it
Evening All. Some posts still mentioning possibility of a takeover... Yet RM has only ever talked about partnering up with big players to guarantee manufacturing / distributing SNG001 in bulk. How likely do people on here really think an outright TO is ?
$327 mil fund. Interesting that they’ve got Amazon, Google and Berkshire Hathaway in their fund. And then little old Synairgen. They must see something seriously generative here
Nothing to see here :-)
Can’t wait. I didn’t even know garden centres sold cars.
I remember reading a few Motley Fool articles in my first few weeks as a novice investor and thinking (with only a couple of exceptions) these are really superficial and poorly written. So vague they are virtually horoscopes!
According to some of these newer posters on here this stock was fabulous a couple of days ago but now it’s pure poison. Their relationships must be pretty spicy - “I hate you. I’m moving out”“You said that you loved me!”“Well, that was in the past.”“It was two days ago”“Yeah but you haven’t issued an RNS yet, so I’m divorcing you and taking the kids”
I have to agree with you gkb47, and I would add that being a broad spectrum antiviral SNG is the kind of drug which will have more applications (beyond COVID and COPD) as time goes on! I see COVID as a short to medium term play (only assuming one or more vaccines eventually prove effective) and COPD (and other conditions) as the long term money spinner
