Just what does it take for the Board to issue an RNS? Only conclusion is that there is some very bad news in the pipeline otherwise they would have put something out to allay fears.

The management team not being up to the task was there for all to see when they promised to unlock shareholder value. Why the II’s could not see through it was a mystery to me at the time

Yes, the shareholder wipeout at Revb almost complete. Another total failure from the Boohoo directors, difficult to see how that can avoid an administration process now.

Another stunning set of results from Next operating in the same economic environment. Shows what can be achieved from a multi-channel well managed clothing retail business. Everything Boohoo are not.

Revb could be worth a lot of money in the hands of competent people. Nothing this Board has done for years has given any indication of being competent, hence the share price.

Whatever he is doing on one level he is destroying the share price on another. The governance level in this business is shocking and can not see any price recovery until they get a set of account released that do not reflect the current fears. One near certainty now is they have an almost total write-off of their investment in Revolution Beauty, that other business where their involvement has destroyed value.

Reardon, not out of the question and it would just complete the total shareholder value destruction that the Boohoo influence has had on Revolution beauty and crystallise their investment loss. Can not see it doing anything remotely positive for the Boohoo share price as every strategic decision this Board had made has been proved to be value destroying.

DC, the decline in share price does indicate what you say could be correct but that must mean that the statements being made about unlocking shareholder value, not that long ago, had no factual basis behind them and were a total fabrication.

Just astonishing that the Board can sit back and watch this continual decline in share price without saying something. They have communicated absolutely nothing since they banged on continually about how they would unlock shareholder value. Seems that unlocking has just resulted resulted in it flying away. Surely even the institutional investors that supported them must have lost all confidence in a group of individuals whose speciality is destroying shareholder value.

You can have an AGM without accounts as Wood Group have just illustrated albeit their shares are suspended.

All this shareholder value they promised to unlock, seems as many of us thought, a total fabrication to protect their own positions. Beginning to wonder if they have worked out that their investment and subsequent interference in Revolution Beauty is now a total write-off.

Yes I do accept that is a big difference but I remain at a loss as to how anyone can support a Board, be it here, THG, Revolution Beauty or Wood Group where it is difficult to imagine how much more damage could be done together with forecasts that appear to be plucked out of thin air.

In my A level economics in 1977 we were told that the age of oil was coming to an end and that all of the world’s oil reserves would be exhausted before 2000. Another example of economists and scientific experts getting it hopelessly wrong.

Pretty certain that a lot of private shareholders will vote against the Board but institutional investors seem to have an inexplicable habit of voting in favour regardless of how poorly they have performed. Most recently illustrated by the support to the Chair and CEO of THG who have performed woefully for years, destroying the share price and turning down a bid (at least their story) of 170p because it seriously undervalued a company that the market now thinks is worth c30p.

Cooler, A decision to invest in Revolution and make the management changes they did would be the full corporate board, not one individual. Therefore anyone currently on the board who was there at the time of this is investment is to blame. They replaced a fairy competent group of individuals who had dealt with the legacy problems, with their own people who have failed. They will have a massive write-off on this investment to add to the cost of all their other bad decisions.

Cooler “am surprised this is trading so low”. Why? The board have failed to deliver on anything they have promised. Do not update the market and are slow to issue accounts. Involve themselves in Revolution Beauty and destroy value there for shareholders. Indeed have done absolutely nothing to fulfil their fiduciary duties as directors. I am surprised that anyone chose to back these individuals at the last vote and those that did are now seeing the share price consequences.

If anyone in clothing retailer is going to take advantage of economic tailwinds, the well run Next PLC looks a far better bet than backing the mob at Boohoo who have merely overseen shareholder value destruction and not content with just doing that at Boohoo, applied their skills at Revolution Beauty with the same disastrous outcome.

It seems always the way. Impossible to decide how much value must be destroyed before the IIs do anything other than support the Board as clearly 90% loss is not enough, not just here but elsewhere. Expect to see the same at Boohoo, Wood Group etc as their tolerance of under performance seems to have no limits.

You could throw Revolution Beauty into that mix who are even worse than Boohoo but largely down to the Boohoo influence. That investment and imposition of a management team now looks close to a total write-off that they can ill afford.

I wouldn’t throw any money at it unless the incompetent bunch at Boohoo were removed from any influence. I posted that I thought administration looked on the cards last November and nothing has changed my mind. The sell option available on IG index has proved lucrative since that time.
