I agree. I have based my investment decisions in ASOS and Boohoo on my daughter’s and their friends purchasing. May be , as some have said anecdotal, but it has served me very well. For 5 years they were avid orderers (different from buyers) and returned almost everything which was always my basis for taking sell options. The eldest, now late 20s orders nothing and the one two years younger, almost nothing. The implication being that their buyers do not continue with them as they age, on which basis their market is very limited. I have always believed they are part of the modern day dotcom era and not sure they can survive as a standalone business.

Agree with you. Over time people forget that there ever was one. I know someone in a fairly senior role at Nat West who did not realise that the current share price is after a consolidation and the same was the case at Renewi who are subject to a takeover bid at a price that is pretty poor compared to where it was 25 years ago when adjusted for the consolidation.

Looks mixed to me. Some improvements but cash outflow remains, regardless of the reasons and until that flips positive (rather than forecast to) do not see huge share price improvements. Given the dreadful share performance would have thought there are enough positives for some upward movement.

As long term holder, still 40% down but great to have some good news at last and pleased that dividend remains intact.

Pearls, do you not think others are also fed up of your constant posting the other way. Do not forget you had this as a “strong buy” when the price was over £1. You must be nursing huge losses which may lie behind your view.

As I have said if you look at my history on this board I have predicted this based on the behaviour of my two daughters and their friends who are in ASOS and Boohoos key demographic. I said what my final exit point was months ago. Got THG horribly wrong but ASOS, Boohoo and Revolution Beauty correct.

As I have posted previously, having lost a fair amount on this stock when it was falling from £40, I took a number of sell positions with IG index starting at £20 and at every couple of pounds downwards, convinced, and counter to many on this Board that at £20 it was still grossly over valued.. My final position closed today at 328p and now very significantly in profit. Thought this was potentially a risky final shot but now I’m out, the question is if there is any upside that is worth a punt. With hindsight, staggering I thought that the bottom was £40 but I was not alone.

Stanley. If MM thinks what we have seen so far is progress, he clearly has a totally different definition to me. What we do have, supported by facts, is a long term and huge destruction of shareholder value with seemingly nobody being held accountable.

Problem is judging time to exit. I went into Rolls at well under £1 and exited at c£3.50. Seemed a great return but could have been much more.

“Much loved brand”? I know a couple of people who were amongst the 100s of unsecured creditors that lost a lot of money who actually hate the brand and have not stopped telling others.

Something is not right with the checkout at our store. For the 3rd time, I returned items to the shelves because the only till open was the tobacco counter which also does lottery tickets and the queue was huge. Saw a couple of people walk in and out again when they saw how long they would have to wait.

I just do not understand what the Chairman is doing. It is his job to assess the performance of the CEO and if it is lacking, to talk to the major shareholders about replacing him. What is his basis for continuing to have confidence in someone who has overseen a 90% fall in share price and thought that £1.70 undervalued the business and did not put it to shareholders.

If the Chairman was so concerned over his losses, he would do what any normal Chair would do and find a competent CEO with experience of turning around a troubled listed business.

SJ, could you point to the page in the latest published numbers that shows it to be “highly profitable”?

Just how much more shareholder value does a CEO have to destroy before the Chairman recognises his job is to replace him? Even those arch rampers calling for shorters to “burn”, and predicting price lift off, seem to have gone away.

Time for the Chairman to earn his somewhat large income and tell Moulding that he must go.

If those next set of results have any negative element then it is anybody’s guess where the share price could fall to. However, since we were promised unlocking value then all must be rosy although if this is the case then why not release something positive.

I remember people positing about them being an attractive proposition to various companies at £1, then 50p, then 25p and calling the floor multiple times. Truth is nobody knows and this has been a dog for years paying the price for grossly overpaying on many acquisitions. As a guide, I was a CFO of a business competing against them on an acquisition and they paid over double the valuation I could get to on any normal valuation model.
