Interesting, I only noticed this share at 0730 today when the RNS caught my eye. I was impressed that the locals were willing to use their sovereign wealth fund to back the company. That is rare in Africa imo and the logistics impressed me, road and port access ok if not good etc. Not sure why Oz was unimpressed but I was and bought a modest stake early and am now just in the blue which is a nice start.

Well there is risk, we have been here before. I remain cautiously optimistic because the fallout from the first failed P3 trial revealed that a small % of patients in the trial enjoyed great benefits from the drug. Just not enough benefited to be statistically significant.

Better selection of trial patients should get us past this obstacle and clearly Avion think a P3 is worth another go.

Any views? I like the company but it has had a few ups and downs over the last few years.

Relatively mundane RNS can shift the sp once sentiment changes. Example, the next FDA meeting, the agenda. People buy on the rumours and sell on the news.

Short term trading aside Lupus is a common critical illness with a huge market so any treatment passed by the FDA will be of value.

From here they could still drop 50% and get bought out for fractions of a penny but I suspect the more likely outcome is a flow of good news and sp firmly upwards.

Update, purchased a modest stake this morning. I do not like the debt but do like the sp and price of oil. I am expecting the UK Gov to back peddle on some of the North Sea idiocy and with the help of a cold winter my punt might pay off.

Volatile trading because......most of the shares are held by the Directors and a few brave small investors. If nobody keen to sell then the market makers have a problem hence the spike this morning as new buyers want shares.
