Hi Guttersnipe, I'm in Houston at the moment, was all over the news they are very close to striking and confirmed with Whitehouse not to be targeting nuclear or oilfields. The moment the news was released oil dropped.

A strike will happen, it will cause disruption so am a firm believer oil will head north soon after strikes

Looks like the oil price coincided with Israel saying they won't target the oil fields.

I still don't see reason for such a large drop as their strike will create significant disruption and conclude the continuation of another war. No doubt oil will be very volatile for the coming weeks.

Don't believe it for a moment. I fly BA$ have loads of issues. Last week tried calling them. Apparently when call never is too busy they just say try calling back later and hang up.

I'm flying to Houston Sunday, can't reserve a seat as there are no seats in my class.

Their app crashes regularly.....the list goes on.

If BA truely are the best in the world it must be because other airlines are not flying.

Personally I think they will attack nuclear.

Oil will have global repercussions, higher oil prices and inflationary knock on effects. The west won't want this.

Iran is said to be close to WMD, the west don't want this and Israel being the perfect excuse to take them out.

In the end I guess it will probably be both.

It's sad we are having to have this discussion.

Rumour is Israel planning to return missiles to Iran. Iran have said if they get attacked they will retaliate by taking out Israels energy infrastructure. That in my mind will only create Israel to do the same.

This has a long way to play out yet. I suspect oil price to keep rising.

Why o why do humans do this to one another I really don't understand.

I fluked this one buying in the low 2000s'and selling very close to 3000s'

It was meant to be part of my divi portfolio but felt it gained too quick. I want back in but spy an opportunity to get in lower than today with how markets may start reacting.

Don't quite understand why there are so many people on the BP board with so little respect for one another. We are all here to make money. Some win some lose. But to be laughing at losses and telling people they have made mistakes when they buy is just utter madness.

Ps. I also sold SOME IAG to top up my BP position. BP now my largest holding.

Not sure what all the negativity is about. Cala was a distraction to their core business. They have got a good price in a very volatile market at present with plenty of uncertainty.

I imagines They maximised their return by using extended payment terms and got a nice 500m payment now. They are not strapped for cash so what's the issue.

Solid company, good divi. Share price is what it is. Just take the dips and add. Nice payments with relatively little stress.

Fundamentals have said this should be higher. Just taken some time for the market to catch on. Slow and steady is how I like this so should have some nice momentum.

I fly frequently and have to say its so busy. I can't see a drop off on passengers happening. Looking forward to next set of figures.

Just had a nibble at 556. Took a couple of attempts and had to lower the top up to 4k to go through. Might be as I caught the bottom or because HL was having a wobble...

Licking my lips here. Already one of my biggest holdings but after those results followed by a drop I will be trying to time my top up.

It will kill off more smaller landlords where one or two dwelling exist but won't effect larger business' IMO

I also think it may increase people's thought in terms of improving margins. For example rather than buying a house and holding they may look at renovating and selling on or converting to a HMO.

Reasons being you get a capital appreciation much quicker than sitting on a property for many years.

This could increase transactions and margins. As short terms loans and bridging loans often require heavier margins.

People will always find a way to maximise their return. Whilst I have a huge hatred for Starmer right now I have to say the management at OSB are what impress me the most and have every confidence they will do whats right

For me on the current fundamentals and divi I just hope it stays down here. I need to keep adding to my position

People have been saying this for many, many years. I just cant see it happening in our lifetime.

Though their debt repayments are just astronomical, if their tax receipts were to rapidly reduce then maybe. But then again maybe they just go back to the printers, plenty of paper and green ink.

Everything is stacking g up. Just waiting for the market to catch on. Our big drop was off the back of poor performance from Ryanair.

UK population still wanting to travel lots. Newsnout of hearhrow is great, holidays business in solid growth mode and forward P/e looking very attractive at this price.

Cheers for sharing your thoughts. I would highlight there wasn't much mention of the holidays business which is growing substantially and for me going to be a key driver for profitability and growth.

I agree, debt being paid down, divi started and company making cash.

Hoping this one will 'pop' at some point. As the old boy Munger use to say “The big money is not in the buying and selling, but in the waiting.”

I thinknwe are treading on thin ice. Business' are not wanting to take out loans, and families now starting to tighten spending based on what their mortgage payments start to be when they need to renew.

Personally I would like to see a cut, no matter how small. However I believe they will likely stick.

That's 220m - 250m GBP (with £ being strong)

Apprx Market cap 1.2b gbp

So trading 5- 6 times earning before the buy back. With several hundred million USD in the bank.

See a nice steady climb back from here.
