The purpose of a buyback is to reduce capital and increase eps.

The more shares bought back, the more effective the buyback.

I agree, the actual buyback can support buying momentum and the share price but the primary aims are key.

Dan, the higher the share price, the fewer the shares purchased by the buyback.

Buybacks are more effective at lower prices and less effective at higher prices.

Sometimes it's better to post nothing at all and leave people wondering if you're daft, rather than posting things and confirming it.

I've been reading extensively on the stock market's rules and it appears that you don't actually have to report on here when you sell a few shares. And at what price you sell them.
