Harmonica, you think for one second that if the US is controlling the Straits, Iran would be able to sell any oil? More likely the US will lay Iran to siege and decimate that country. The 47 years of sanctions already has taken it's toll, so what do they have to lose?

The US financed and weaponised Iraq to go to war with Iran, killing over 1 million people from both sides for 8 years. The US is not a trusted party, out for itself. The sooner we as Europeans wake up the better we will be. We need to make friends, not enemies, the US will never be our friend. A friend never needs to keep telling you he is your friend, you should already know it. Why do we keep getting told who our friend is?

The US wants the UK and Europe to be dependant on oil it controls, if we cannot understand this now, then you may as well just pay your US taxes now.
