See my earlier post on the recruitment BBI are doing with specific requirements being ISO experience not just for UK but Global and US
Yes something been bugging me about the LFD test from a 'track and trace' perspective has always been how do Assimilate and record accurately the results on a local/national scale....additionally how do you control the fraudulent use of tests to prove a negative result (for those naughty people who absolutely HAVE to be on that flight, in that club etc. etc.)...BBI with their Edinburgh operation (who are also recruiting btw) seem to already have the answer with their smartphone results app....Make no mistake people...we are poised to be the Gallant knight to the global crisis here!!
Seems BBI are recruiting for this in the UK....Most of the roles in Wales have this under requirements "This role will be best suited to someone who can demonstrate practical laboratory skills with a solid understanding of immunoassays. Experience of ISO 13485/ 21 CRF Part 820 "
For ImmunoAssays read 'Antigen testing' and for ISO 13485/ 21 CRF Part 820 read 'ISO 13485 is a global standard that is voluntary in the US but required in some countries. ISO 13485 will become the FDA's mandatory QMS April of 2019. ... 21 CFR 820 is applicable to manufacturers of finished medical devices sold in the United States, including imported products.'
Made me smile with my long-term hold position :-)
Absolutely agree Sparta10....This RNS is so much stronger than it seems to some....
@Timster Great Post....What are your thoughts on the "adding the blocker" element...If that is something which has been added by UK powers that be...is it necessarily the same for US or other markets? If it wasn't could that mean validation results could be separately timed for each Market? Just Musing
Absolutely right! What a great response...
Canute40 I think we have just affectionately named it spit on a stick
CO great reply...see my later post today on Matt NoIdea-getting schools open with a 90 min test as he was suggesting in the headline is ludicrous
Girl up North how do you know they have not gone through CONDOR?
Always enjoy reading your thoughts on these posts Ophidian! There is a chance that you are absolutely correct...only recently has the mention of potential cross-infection come to light. So...if the goal-posts have indeed moved are we potentially in a much stronger position than other runners given the type of biotech AWacta are using?
Evening headline reads Matt HandJ@b says “ the 90 minute test can be used in schools” as a father of three primary school kids and as a governor of seven years of that school, tell me exactly how you propose that tow work Mr HJ!?!
Perhaps the children (and frantic parents who are trying to get to work) could stand in a socially distanced queue around the playground while SOMEONE suitably qualified to take swabs can process 100’s of tests with the shiny machine thingy before putting the kids into quarantine rooms to await the 90 minute result...”PING” the machine beeps ‘suspect COVID’...all children in that particular class phoned to tell them to come back and collect the children (they have only just arrived at work at this point) and all of them will have to self-isolate with “the PING kid” going for further tests at the hospital. Bloody idiot Mr HJ! Under pressure to get the schools back open...come on you can do better than that!
I’m finding the whole board chat fascinating...is it a definite thing that positive/ negative comments on a board like this can actually affect the SP?
The news than went on to talk about the worsening Covid situation in Australia and then back to the UK and the disproportionate amount of BAME Covid patients and the governments lack of responsiveness to PPE requirements leading to the unnecessary deaths of NHS workers...sadly a good news day for AWacta
1st Covid headline-testing 90 mins blah blah...after the “ta-daaaa” bit the correspondent basically said “it’s more complicated than that and actually testing was promised in care homes in July so the government are under pressure to deliver”
Next headline “Covid testing in waste water being trialled at 42 sites across England this is a major step forward in being able to monitor areas and respond with local measures quickly”
Good news day for AWacta in my opinion!
Toilet break?
Injecting disinfectant?
Anyone think that Sir AL may be walking amongst us?? Is he AlwaysWinning? Is He PL75? I love to think that he is :-)
I am not aware there is a "delay"...It will come as soon as feasibly possible...I believe Alistair said a few/couple of weeks. Chill ya boots
For those hung up on the whole "summer comments" thing....let's remember that Summer in the Northern Hemisphere began on 21st June and will last until 22nd September...
