I wonder when the AR will appear for the year ending 31 Dec 2017. End Q1 2018 perhaps, although hopefully we'll get some news earlier. Presumably, integration of the DCS assets is proceeding apace. Early days, but presumably cash from the gas sales is coming in and being applied to servicing the Engie facility, building a cash pile, and laying out the sanctioned capex to improve production (a virtuous circle). Financially, HNL must be becoming a stronger beast with every passing day, and given its disciplined but aggressive growth strategy plan, I agree with the posters who think this will translate into more deals. I've been watching my SQZ shares growing nicely, and thinking something similar must be happening with HNL!

Reading RCF's investment considerations, it makes sense for them to be selling up imo, particularly now the Omanis are here. http://www.resourcecapitalfunds.com/investment-considerations I get your point about Global X - it could exaggerate sp movements and overly expose the sp to the vagaries of the U market, but still think it's good news Global X are interested in BKY and buying. I'd be more worried if they weren't.

It may because RCF are selling up, banking profits. Fair play to them, BKY perhaps no longer fits their investment profile, now we're stable, mature, and fully funded with strategic investor in place, and heading towards being a boring massively lucrative producer. Both RNSs are good news imo, as we say goodbye with thanks to private equity, and watch Global X stake building. Are we going to get an exploration results RNS soon do we think? Nice stocking filler please!

It's good to hear there's increasing focus on Haggan, it's a 5-7 year proposition so time is of the essence, but I'm not sure we can expect the sp to move much on today's news. If this goes ahead, we'll need details of the listings, management team, identity of and terms of deal with any strategic investors, sale price of any interest sold (which as you say will indicate valuation), and proposed asset development programme. Existing Aura investors may be in two minds about the merits of diluting Aura's control and interest in Haggan in this way at this early stage, and indeed going forward.

Tease away MTSparky! Actually £5m seems realistic to me, given the TEPN figs we know about, production increases from sanctioned capex due to kick in next year, and Dutch gas futures trending up. The SQZ comparison is also useful for a number of reasons imo, and one other point occurring is the management. Mitch Flegg comes back to Serica with the recent Circle albatross, which may hold the SP back (even though it's doing pretty well!) No such issue with Andrew Cochran. It's obvious, but worth saying a strong management team with a sound reputation will make a real difference to the sp in the big league where HNL are headed.

So I THINK this means HNL legally take over on 1/1/17, but in practice we step into the sellers' shoes at completion, the assets having been running as normal throughout the completion period. Profits accrue to the sellers up to completion, and to HNL after completion subject to a few contingencies. So no cash passes to HNL, but the assets, the deal and the funding arrangements are so amazing a few million euros cash would have been a sideshow anyway.

I think I'm with Olderandwiser on this one. If only because otherwise you'd have the implausible situation where Tullow had contracted to sell the DCS assets, but were still obliged to run them up to completion purely for HNL's benefit at no cost to HNL I don't recall the RNSs saying actually what happens in this contract period though. Where's that lawyer?!

I've found that some punctuation like ( ) and " " turns into � signs when you cut and paste text into here. Whether this share will ever do anything depends a lot on whether or not the nuclear sector revives imo. It's either a slowburner or a turkey, but too early to say which imo.

Not sure, but we're paying enterprise value subject to adjustments and contingencies. Does anyone know how TEPN profits after 1/1/17 are being treated within the deal? I didn't think these profits were accruing to HNL pre-completion, but would need to re-read the RNSs in detail. Is MTSparky right that they have been accruing to HNL? It's a significant sum.

It won't be that much will it? Gross profit (ebitda) from the TEPN assets in H1 2017 was 5.59m Euros, and we're not buying any significant pre-existing cash balance.

As long as it continues to be good news, rather than fake news, I'm happy! Just like they've done for Harry and Meghan, the stars do seem to be aligning nicely for BKY, with funding sorted, major works about to commence as spot starts its long awaited journey north and utilities need to re-contract etc.

SQZ has opened well north of 100% on re-listing today. Because SQZ had a large cash pile, you could say that the funding of its deal with BP was of less significance than HNL's funding. As the tie up with Engie has effectively solved HNL's funding issues at a stroke (on top of the transformational deal with TLW), I think this bodes rather well for HNL.

Yes what a nice timely update. The next important news for ORM imo will likely be what the competition's up to. For example, will Almonty close on their funding for Sangdong? - that's due before year end I think. Also, WLFE continuing to get Hemerdon sorted. Without other mines, there'd likely be a supply squeeze just as ORM start producing. Could multi-bag from here, and the prospect of t/o will increase too. imo

As I understand it, the BoD are giving themselves the option of raising working capital down the line via this placement. They may or may not do it, and it's useful and common to have this option. We already know about it, and it's certainly nothing to fret about, it's small and wouldn't move the dial materially on the SP if the placement made.

SQZ's acquisition of some North Sea assets from BP, announced yesterday, is well worth a read imo. A very different deal from HNL's eg in terms of funding, off-take and decommissioning, but many similarities too, eg a transformational deal with a divesting major for predominantly gas producing assets with some deferred consideration. SQZ state they will now be "a leading British independent oil and gas company". And like HNL's, the deal itself looks like an absolute cracker for SQZ. It's an RTO and SQZ hope to publish their AIM re-admission doc on 30 Nov at which point shares should resume trading. Contrast this with HNL biding their time digesting the DCS portfolio, and maybe considering other acquisitions.

Germany also imports large amounts of nuclear generated energy from France, so are basically hoodwinking the world over use of nuclear power anyway! And I'm sure that's one reason why France have just reversed proposed nuclear cut backs. V powerful anti-nuclear lobby in Germany, but I agree the post Fukushima abandonment of nuclear was entirely misconceived. It was the tsunami that caused the problem, and even that was only a problem because they'd sited the crucial parts of the power station in the basement rather than up on a hill where they would have been safe even in the tsunami! Germany of course in not in a tsunami zone.

It's a bit self-defeating to say the main concern is that the mine is located near a school area. Not only does the project pass all the stringent environmental tests and standards with flying colours, there'd be no school without the mine.
