Good points Duncan.
You're right Aura's a speculative investment, the flagship project Haggan is 5-7 years from delivery, and the other projects also have a way to go.
But I think there's progress across the portfolio. The Dec quarterly report is a good read.
You're absolutely right to make the point about approach to Haggan too. At this very early stage, why should Aura be diluting at all, when the "normal" approach would be to start proving up the resource, get some more reports, feasibility studies, permits and funding etc sorted, then go into production or seek to exit, we shareholders having taken the risk but then getting rewarded with a tidy profit from the value Aura have added throughout this process.
Instead, the proposal is to IPO a Haggan vehicle company within a "conceptual" timetable of this year. The Dec Quarterlies detail what this entails. Essentially we've been told to expect this listing to be an event potentially generating substantial value for shareholders within the next 10 months or so, and I like the sound of that! Whether it happens or not remains to be seen. Aura is a "one man and his dog" type of operation. In fact I think there's only one person paid a salary (Mr Reeve himself) so there may not even be a dog!! And Mr Reeve has other directorships too. Can he deliver a value generating IPO this year? Who knows. So make of all that what you will.
FWIW, I'm in here because of the potential of the projects, and because I think particularly rare earths and uranium will be important over the next decade, but also because there is short term, medium term and long term potential to make money here. I also think the IPO route is a good idea on balance, eg because Haggan needs a dedicated full time team in Sweden and strategic investment to push it forward quickly if is going to catch the battery metals and forthcoming uranium waves. Aura would keep more than just crumbs of course. Initially it would be the majority shareholder.
I'll be keeping a close eye on whether the listing happens and whether the various projects make any headway. It's highly speculative, could well bomb, but could really deliver too and is worth a punt imo.
