Greens on 4% ( 7.9% in 2020) and getting 3% on second preference vote . So will be lucky to keep 4 of their 12 seats . But FF and FG vote is also down , so they might need 2 parties . But labour are getting 6% of seconds preferences so if seats falls right -Ff/Fg and labour could have enough seats .

So really it’s all down to transfers . The nightmare of the greens coming back is unfortunately still possible.

Independent Ireland should hold their 3 seats but nobody predicting any more . Idiot Sutcliffe leading out McGregor from his trial has not helped. They should have kicked him out straight away .

My money still on FF/FG and labour which should be ok for getting movement on inishkea

Very large spread . Is somebody building up a stake with series of 500& 700k buys or just separate buyers . If single buyer , looks like mm are testing the buyer out . Interesting 2 weeks coming up .

FG in their manifesto today , want to amalgamate environment ( energy) , and transport with a new dept of infrastructure .

This new dept will be one of the most powerful and certainly won’t go to a green if they come back .

That possibility now look extremely unlikely as a new poll today shows that they have now gone from very transfer friendly to extremely unfriendly. As majority of their seats came from late transfers , it’s looking like a disaster for them.

3littlebirds, I suggest you read the whole thread again ,slowly , before you label people confused .

People are people no matter what their color , creed or orientation. As someone who was an immigrant in London for 3 years and New York for 12years where I found both countries very tolerant especially America , we should extend that tolerance to our immigrants in Ireland who are just seeking a better life .

it’s not virtue signaling to deplore the use of derogatory ****** language . if people feel that way they can vote for these extreme parties —yet they are not even registering on the polls. by the way , i live in one of those rural towns , here in tipp .

donaldb, yep if they are only a few seats shorts they could go for ex ff and fg like lowery etc but having a third party makes things more stable. ideal for us , would be just a ff/fg joint coalition , which is a possibility.

Unfortunately after some extreme deplorable anti migrant comments by some of its Dublin candidates this week-one of them using the term coloured people , high up FF people in Dublin I know won’t touch them unless absolutely necessary .labour is the preferred party with tactical voting likely in certain constituencies to help them get those vital last seats . Would not be a bad result for us as long as the labour leader is kept out of environment/ energy portfolio. She a bit of a green although as a law professor she will probably prefer justice or a similar post

Maybe but not necessarily. They often drop prices on negative news to keep liquidity and equilibrium in the market .

Aimshare , I admire your optimism. If we clear the environment hurdles for the extra work at wressle within 2 years , it will be amazing. This miliband chap seems as extreme as Ryan.

But I agree , there needs to be cost cutting especially in salaries . For me , they have 3 months for EG and six for Ireland , otherwise WH and others should go. With such big salaries, the only criteria is results ,nothing else . He should fall or rise on Ireland / EG.

On a positive note, the words he used for EG were unusual “Cannot overstate how exciting..and as serif noted -he has not purchased any extra shares .

I agree about putting that on ice and starting the cost cutting now but still think the 33% fall in price since oct 9th on expected news is an over reaction. The fundamental investment decision factors have not changed .

Love to see your math workings on that.

I think if it got to 3p,not all but a lot of people including myself would be very happy to cash in and move on .
