Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Question I have:- If you had bought shares pre-January 2020 (especially in the 1m+ range then if GGP SP had ticked up steadily over the past 21 months to a 17-18p then would you be worried ir complaining about your investment ? And would you still believe the fundamentals and the reason you invested in GGP ?
A lot of those invested at the low prices (pre-jan 2020) do actually have large paper profits; but on the flipside there are many who post on the board sitting on real paper losses.
We're all here for the same reason, so I'm sure with a bit of time and patience then we'll all get what we want from the share.

"We'll know whether the market has reacted well to tonight's drill results if JonesRichard is back tomorrow"
It's also possible that Southwesterner will make a guest appearance tonight or tomorrow to try and pinpoint focus on any lower grades, etc.
If he does then probably best just filter or ignore.
As the thread header states, a big thank you to admin for their good work in removing off topic posts that are not related to GGP (LSE rules) and taking action against some members who just disrupt the board.
Good luck to all GGP shareholders and happy posting.
(Please refrain from mentioning any other posters if you respond in this thread)
Lol Tom - shouldn't there be an A somewhere in please, and an E after the S ?
Also 'its' should have an apostrophe to show an omission of letter(s), i.e. it's
Surely, the misspelling, spell corrected misplaced words, minor typing errors or minor grammar errors like missing an apostrophe in words or sentences is really not that important on a bulletin board - especially when the poster could be typing the post on a small screen on a mobile phone.
Groggy - agreed; the PFS was the minimum required to get the phase of the project over the line to satisfy the JV agreement, the NCM board and shareholders; and so they can progress quickly to the FS and fully approved decision to mine ( bit we've known for months they're mining anyway).
There's too much conspiracy and scaremongering on the board which is causing some to panic but also more to jump on the bandwagon and add comments. It also provides the Trolls ammo for their tactics in sowing fear and doubt on the board.
People need to believe in the fundamentals and be happy that within 30 months of NCM at the helm of Havieron then we are progressing - at speed - to mining within the next few years.
Generally these things take 10-15 years and if you take Solgold as an example then they made their huge mineral discovery in 2014 and yet still to provide a PFS. (off the top of my head, so can be corrected by someone wuth more precise knowledge).
The Learner - Yes, thanks for mentioning the management committee, I did think of it and probably should have added it into my previous post; and totally agree with your post.
I think it's important for people to understand that in the modern day and in countries with safe and democratic jurisdictions then ethics are quite a big thing in the corporate world, especially for large companies. I work for a large global company and ethics, compliance and governance in business is a massive thing. We have to do about 5 or 6 mandatory training courses a year on it; even acts like falsifying information or amount on an invoice can result in a disciplinary procedure and up to being sacked.
Of course I'm not saying that some skullduggery never occurs in some companies, as there always will be some dishonesty by the few in the world.
Taking into account that NCM work in the ESG framework (and of course there is also the 3/2 committee), then I'm quite sure NCM are not going to be dishonest or have GGP over with results, etc. I simply see the PFS was a rushed process, with a known selection of data, for NCM to complete their spend, satisfy the board and shareholders, to get the 70%; and then proceed quickly towards the FS, get the board approvals and get full mining started so they can get ore to Telfer as soon as possible to save hibernating part or all of the production plant and lay off employees, etc - and of course they want to generate revenue.
There's plenty more to come from Havieron and hopefully some of our other projects, and people just need to be patient.
Mumbo - I'm of the same opinion. In the modern day and companies working within the ESG framework (as NCM and GGP do), then I do not see NCM purposely hiding any information, drill results or stats from GGP; it would be totally unethical and also probably illegal.
Imagine NCM's credibility if it was suspected they had been dishonest and stiffed Greatland to get Havieron or the whole company. It's always been my view that NCM will be happy with their 75% as they know it will be worth $billions.
My worry would more be that one of the other big boys come in with a low ball offer, and although NCM would probably counter, then overall it still could be a low ball price, which will dissapoint many PI's.
You all know the board wil be infested with Trolls and the negativity doomsayers today, and all week. They want you to interact to keep their negstive thread and agenda at the top of the board. If you ignore or report them then their thread will soon disappear.
Hi Tom - you are correct that in the document there is no 'approval to mine'; so maybe a bit more of expectancy on my part , but taking into account the statement " over initial 9 year mine life" then in my thinking it means that they have a plan to mine using the figures provided in the document.
I never said in my other post there were actually any approvals to mine, but apologies if it was maybe implied and if there was any confusion. I should have probably said 'the PFS indicates progress to the FS and decision to mine'.
Lots of figures and wording in the document and for many it's not in layman's terms. Some posters on here can (and will) throw figures about and make statements to fit their own narrative.
I would assume for most people the document will probably be a bit complex and will not give a reasonable estimate of where they expect the SP (really the main driver of people's needs).
If you're here for the long game then why worry what the SP will be tomorrow or even next week. The fundamentals have not changed and the PFS is a process requirement for NCM to provide documented evidence to proceed to completion of their buy-in agreement and decision to mine.
The following statement is in the document:- "over initial 9 year mine life" - simply this means they are going to start mining at Havieron; of course since the decline started then no-one on this board thought anything different (apart from a few trolls), but technically the PFS release confirms in writing that Havieron will be a mine - what's to complain about.
