We have a rough idea of cash etc via the podcast and calculations on here. Obviously drilling costs money so it isn't a constant.

An RNS about actually producing something with profit forecasts is what we need now. This continued drip drip down is frustrating in the extreme given our cash position.

Sandfire have their quarterly update 27th July l think so should get an idea how they are progressing.

VB - one of your friends made this point about GLRs dreadful performance over the last 5 years. True, but it was still better than AIM as a whole. AIM and commodities/oil have just been terrible performers. I can see AIM going lower unfortunately, 10 year gilts were 4.5% yesterday. All l ask Colin to do is manage the finances conservatively and ride out any storm. Missing timelines is annoying but there has to be realism.

Vb - l think you need to look at the BZT board to see a pump and dump operation.

Most long term shareholders buy shares in a company because they think it is a good investment !. Sometimes it works sometimes not. But hopefully news on Star zinc soon.

Lets not forget in this fog of a dead beat market that Sandfire are currently spending $4 million on exploring our licences in the Kalahari. However it will be more as from memory 60% has to be spent on drilling and they have already spent a considerable amount on data collection.

Kwak. I note your comments on the XTR board and fair comment. But as Analytical has said, there are some good projects so hopefully something will come good and you will not only recoup your losses but also make a good profit. These shares can stay in the doldrums for eternity then go crazy. But l think it will require AIM to change in trend unfortunately.

Kwak - any thoughts. Yes. This topic was discussed at the recent London mining indaba. The explorers own the exploration mining rights but have no money and in the current market cannot raise any. The majors need the rights but are not willing to pay fair value. It was the view that the future metals shortage cannot be addressed until this is resolved.

China has banned the export of germanium. From memory Star Zinc has germanium.

Hz - agreed. Colin had high hopes which he acknowledged in the podcast. But we are where we are and as Colin said, 2 x earnings approx is taking the p*ss.

Accepting the wisdom of PL and that we are just gambling - my money would be on the FQ project with AFP as number 1 punt. As much as I am not a fan of Zim, I like the lithium project and as a real outsider the nickel. These projects are in mineral rich areas with known deposits nearby. Shiganda and Luansobe probably follow but where does the Kalahari projects come in ?. In the short term happy just to mine some zinc and get cash coming in though.

Good to hear the cash position is solid and progress across the spectrum.

The complete lack of news on the zinc suggests to me something happening in the background and maybe an RNS could be soon. When I looked at the satellite photo on Google of the Star Zinc property it looked like plenty going on. Time will tell but remain very positive - and with sister company AFP.
