Indeed. He seems to have streamlined the operation from top to bottom and seems to be making all the right noises about partnerships and contracts. I am hoping to get a decent announcement month end that hopefully might put us on the map and add a bit of upside. However, as with aim, it can sometimes take a lot to bring movement to the sp and people appear to want some pretty concrete fundamentals to make a decision and part with their hard earned cash....
Must be lse tab not working maybe....
Have the bod actually bought any shares!
It strikes me that the sp as it was - value of almost 1.5p, was actually baseless. This was not a cash generative company and as a business model back then, was never going to work... hence the restructure. We now have a much more improved model but are still not in a cash generative position. Now valued at 0.027p!! Its actually quite staggering how they come to defining what value is attached to these companies floating on aim! This is clearly a punt and always was. Nonetheless I have a great deal more confidence in Mark so lets see where he takes us...
Doesn't surprise me. This is the difference though with aim floated companies - the bod are paid a bod salary BEFORE they actually make any money. And quite often, they will never make any money. It just isn't right but, we perpetuate it by investing in the first place :) it is something for nothing! Bit like a charity really!
Lol its like they temporarily drop the bid to let people in!
Or a pension fund!
That's a bit like a charity without an actual cause!!
The actual values of the trades are loose change to some... the volume is misleading!
Interesting but.... he may not want to reveal intended purposes at this stage? Otherwise other companies doing the same thing (gathering location data) could encroach on their market. So I wouldnt be shouting it from the rooftops!
But... I thought it was all about quality of data? Its a big problem with location data is it not?
Which begs the question whether back scratching goes on? We all sit back and watch thinking 'surely not. There must be good reason for this' and wait for the crap to hit the fan and be proved right all along... these kinds of deals don't work.. then again, as it is aim listed, I imagine if they wanted to buy the stake, there is nothing stopping them anyway? There is clearly not a prearranged discount as such?
When have u ever seen an institutional investor that is considerate to PI's and let the sp grow?
Only concern is, with 3.5bn shares in the pot, even at a small percentage, it is worth offloading quickly - that is the traditional tact of institutional investor. As they will be well aware, aim is high risk and things can go tits up v quickly....
iii charge £20 a quarter though. It actually works out pricy... used to be free! With a couple of quid a trade.. no such luck now.
Interesting because we used to see big buys like that all the time! Dont think anything can be interpreted from it as to some people thats just loose change!
True. I honestly think this is really positive. Im impressed with mark slade - none of the usual jam tomorrow rubbish. Significant cost cutting and improved business focus and revenue. Imagine trying to manage a bloated loss making company with excess of 60 employees! And whittling it down, redirecting focus from one division to another. Moving offices. Getting the RIGHT talent.. I think he has moved impressively quickly! There are quite a few sharks in LSE that would be trying to bleed the shareholders dry and making ridiculous financial choices to raise money by very inefficient means to keep the salary rolling in... we will see long term but I am relieved. I think we may just make some of our loss back here with slade at the helm
I guess the new name covers the umbrella of services on offer... they better not keep changing the name though!
I always thought 'location sciences' was a bit wishy washy... not even sure the new name is totally apt either! As they are not selling to public / end user, does it not make sense to have a name that is accurate and self explanatory?
Good point. This is about the worst time to sell? Cannot see how it could get any lower... then again....
