"The fact is that with a market cap of ÂĢ32 Billion and with 76,675,953,467 shares in issue, the share price would be 41.73p"
Let me make something clear I'm not against buybacks to cover Block listings, so the 76,675,953,467 figure wouldn't apply. Your 41.73p price also doesn't take into account a possible much higher share price based on sentiment, and many investors may have reinvested their dividends to increase their holdings. Who's to say that the share price wouldn't have been 70 or 80p with 70 Billion shares in issue?
You like giving examples, if you want to see the power of sentiment look at Rolls Royce. They significantly increased the number of shares in issue, dropped the dividend and the share price still climbed well above pre covid levels, driven by sentiment.
So you saying "a market cap of ÂĢ32 Billion and with 76,675,953,467 shares in issue, the share price would be 41.73p" isn't based on fact, it's an assumption you're using to fit your own narrative. If you really believe that statement, then you're not even close to the intelligence level you seem to think you are at.
