Gary are you stupid,? You should read what's been happening today before you use your throw away remarks. The reason for todays drop is no reason at all, it was caused by speculation about Amazon offering mobile services in the US, through MVNO's, with the market proving it's as thick as mince too.

I don't see how Amazon offering a mobile service hurts the US Telecom companies, as the Telecom companies benefit through Wholesale business and the UK are doubly unaffected anyway, since the headlines don't even apply to the UK. It's just another excuse to knock Telecom stocks so big players can mop up stock on the cheap, from weak retail.

The UK is awash with MVNO's, my SIM only contract is under £7 with Plusnet, and many other SIM only deals are available. If Amazon wanted to offer free mobile to UK consumers, they's still have to pay the mobile providers. When 5G rollout's completed, more options will open up for MVNO's through network slicing, but again it wont be free.

Wasn't even a drop on high volumes.

Today's price drops are a PRIME example of a stupid market.

Only if you're a trader. No matter how long Algo's punish individual stocks or sectors, good companies will always eventually find their true valuation.

This is what's wrong with the markets, the Algo's don't know the difference between the UK market and the US market. It isn't AI it's SI, Stupid Intelligence.

The difference between institutional Investors and the average retail investor, like me, is that they have to show annual profits, whereas I can sit on a Capital Paper Loss ad infinitum and use the dividends for income or reinvestment. The beauty of dividend reinvestment when sitting on a paper loss, is that it not only brings down your average cost per share but when the the price eventually turns, and exceeds your book price, the capital paper gain increases in proportion to the number of extra shares obtained from topping up. Retail investors don't need to copy the professionals to make a profit, as they're completely different animals.

You don't see many, if any, FTSE100 CEO's doing interviews on there. The last thing I saw relating to my investments was a BT vs VOD interview with Russ Mould from AJ Bell, someone who's quite bearish on Telecom stocks. Personally I don't rate Vox Markets or Proactive Investors very highly, as they appear to present slightly skewed opinions not giving the full picture, in my opinion.

Do QBT pay Vox to do the interviews? Because the interview format's are more like marketing podcasts with an insider doing the interview.

My average cost per share is way higher than 92p and I'm not particularly worrying about it. I'm just holding, waiting and collecting the divi's.

Actually my gripe wasn't particularly about the EU's treatment of BT, but the general situation. I think it's about time the UK Government started kicking back against this anti UK sentiment from the EU. The UK Government should show some backbone and get more vocal, instead of the behind the scenes reserved discussions they seem to love so much, they should kick them where it hurts.

If BT didn't claim a tax benefit then their accountants would have had a good reason not too. Companies like BT manage their tax affairs over many years, so it wont be an accident or missed opportunity.
