RE: Re - Numbers....28 May 2023 10:20
I'm not a trader, as some on here imply, I'm just enjoying the show. Think of me as someone who's watching a film and trying to work out how the plot will unfold. We have a business that started out in leisure activities, and possibly on the verge of going under, then in a plot twist it changes its name to something incorporating buzzwords associated with much of the current hype, like Quantum, Bitcoin and Tech; If AI had been a Buzzword in May 2021 they'd possibly be called QAIBT, or QBTAI, or QBAI now.
Quantum is years away and arguably as much of a threat to Crypto as it may be a benefit in speeding up mining, probably at least 10 years away. This renewable story is part of a more general theme throughout industry, to be seen as promoting ESG, but any energy used to mine Bitcoin is wasteful because the token serves no useful purpose to society, with all the hyped up use cases falling away as time goes on.
It appears that the named inventor of Ultraboost is someone external to QBT, apparently working for Capita, so not part of the company and probably only available in their spare time. Are the teams involved in the development of the product full time employees, or individuals devoting their spare time to the projects in the hope that options will reward them down the road?
The film is only half way though and the plot is still unfolding, I have no idea if this will lead to a conclusion where the characters win through and prove doubters like me wrong, or the venture fails to gain traction and fizzles out. Will QBT win through like the main character in the film Tetris, or will they fail in their endeavor? I'm watching with interest.
