It may well pump the price up initially, but it'll make no difference to QBT's long term future if the product doesn't live up to expectations. I couldn't care less what the share price does, I'm more interested in the tech and whether or not it works in the real world. I'll be the first to congratulate the company if they bury my scepticism in a deep hole, but there's currently no indication of that happening.

I've never claimed to be an expert on Bitcoin and I did say recently that I only know the basics, you jump on every statement from QBT and hype it up as though it's the 2nd coming, and then have a go when you're corrected. I'm the one who receives the majority of the abuse on here, so who's really being trolled? Calling me Flaccid and Fleecy all the time doesn't bother me, but don't be surprised if I occasionally respond in kind. As far as posting my views on QBT, I'm in it for the long haul, I'll be here until they rise like a Phoenix from the ashes, or fail in their Crypto adventure. I am skeptical, but I'm being sincere when I say I'm looking forward to the software being launched and showcased in a commercial mining role, as I want to check the performance of the miner who partners with them. If QBT announce when and who will be using the software, any increase in performance will show up in the Miners Block pace pretty quickly and it might also be obvious whether its initially at the expense of other miners, or additionally shows as an increase in the overall Network Block pace.

Like a confused child you're probably seeking attention from me, due to subconscious admiration, but can't express it in conventional ways so resort to abuse; You should probably see someone about that.

Jambone I know as much about how the company operates as you do, how could I not with your pasted ramping posts day in day out?

In the Proactive interview, FG said they started with two years of R&D and now have the results and their main goal is to turn these results into a product, and that will take much of his time going forward; So QBT are yet to develop a "solid" commercial product and apparently that isn't "trivial", his words.

I have no clue how QBT's software will work in a commercial mining operation, using 10's of thousands of ASICS, but i'd guess it isn't just about developing a stand alone product; The servers holding the software would have to be integrated into the miners existing operation and maybe even replace the Farm's existing scheduling/ distribution software, I suspect that's a bit more complicated than just plug and play. Admittedly I have no idea how Bitcoin miners distribute Nonces to their thousands of ASIC's, but it would make sense to have different ASIC's working with different numbers, so QBT's software would somehow have to be inserted at the front end of that ecosystem, before the Nonces are distributed to the various ASIC's. Of course all this is speculation on my part, but it's no more speculative than the hype I read from others on here.

I did give the question of miners using a software boost taking share from miners who don't, but I couldn't work whether or not that'd be the case and I don't think anyone else could work it out either, we'll only find out if the software becomes widely adopted. If one big miner used it, and it works, then they'll all probably start to use it with any benefit being short lived and as I said previously I don't see the community putting up with exclusivity agreements restricting software access to a select few. You're correct, I am acting as Devils Advocate in respect of pointing out the possible issues QBT may face with convincing big miners to come on board, but shouldn't anyone eyeing QBT as an investment be looking at possible issues going forward?

For all I know QBT's Ultraboost may become super popular among miners and be hyped up to the stratosphere, but it could just as easily fall as flat as a pancake, only time will tell; Nothing's guaranteed.

If those 6 players all used software that increased Network Block pace dramatically, the difficulty algorithm would adjust to push the pace back down to one block every 10 minutes at the next difficulty change, so any benefit from the software would be short lived under those circumstances; The miners would know this, so they'd have to agree a baseline with QBT and adjust QBT's percentage cut downward following drops related to difficulty changes. There'd be variables and maths involved, but the more miners using the software, the less benefit from the software at each difficulty change.

I assume the largest part of "unknown" is Mara, so around 90% of the BTC production is shared between 6 big players. Lets imagine QBT's software does as claimed, then those 6 players are the ones to talk to, but if they all used the software then the difficulty algorithm would nullify most of the software gain over the following 8 weeks. Since those 6 players wouldn't want to share any reward with QBT, couldn't they all just agree amongst themselves not to use the software? I know I'll get slated for being "negative", but isn't that a possibility? So even though QBT may succeed and develop a commercial product, they may struggle to convince miners to use it under those circumstances. I'm also not sure if QBT would be easily able to sign exclusivity agreements with individual miners, as there's a possibility the Crypto Open Patent Alliance (COPA) may have something to say about that.

Mara show up as unknown on the data capture, going back to the 1st May, so will be mixed in with some others.

Since the 1st May 272 Blocks have been relayed by Unknown Miners, equivalent to 1700 BTC reward. Foundry are clearly well ahead of the rest of the pack at 1206 Blocks, equivalent to a reward of 7,537.5 BTC, not including any transaction fees.

I hope they do partner with a big miner and advise immediately when the software is activated, it'll become obvious within days if the results match the theoretical level telegraphed by QBT; Then it'll be interesting to observe the effect of difficulty changes over subsequent 2016 Block periods.

I post on here because I'm interested in studying QBT, but not from an investment point of view. Some people like fishing, train or airplane spotting, it doesn't stop them doing other things outside of their hobbies . As far as messing with your investment, you're being delusional, nothing I or anyone else says on here will affect the future of QBT; The future of QBT depends on the success or failure of their product once it's released.

What have I lied about? Quantum, Chip development, and ESG also mentioned, are all aspirational and irrelevant in the near and medium term. As far as the interview, he said that the R&D phase has yielded results and they're now going to work on a product; The 2.6 times increase result, from the R&D, is theoretical according to QBT's own releases and statements.

I hope they do get a product to market and a big miner tests it, ideally starting at a difficulty change so the results can be checked over the 2016 initial Blocks, and then over the next 2016 Blocks following the difficulty change; If we know who the miner is, I could capture the data and compare the miners performance over the 2016 Blocks before the software's installed, during the initial 2016 Blocks with software, and the 2016 Blocks after the difficulty change for comparison. Contrary to what you might think, I'd be honest about the results and post them on here. If the software gives the miner a big boost, it should be obvious in the 2016 blocks after installation.

If text posts had an odour, yours would reek of desperation. It was clear from the video that QBT hasn't, as yet, built a working product to sell having just completed the R&D phase, a working product is clearly the only thing that's important, not aspirations about Quantum and Chip production.
