I already have a big holding in VOD, but I'm currently directing any dividend reinvestments at BT and Lloyds as I'm unsure about VOD's dividends going forward. There's no doubt about it, VOD is bargain basement and I'd be filling my boots if I could be sure the divi's will be maintained.

Well spotted, so the 2.5% off book trade yesterday was likely a portion of that. This goes to highlight what I've been saying, that off book trading and derivatives allow big players to game the system and grow large holdings with very little price movement.

No mention of this on CNBC this morning, that I've seen, if BT had been a US stock the US presenters would have been all over this.

Russ Mould comes across as a Telecom permabear who only seems to focus on the financials without seeing where future cost savings will come from. It isn't just about reduction in staff numbers, BT's energy bill will substantially reduce as convergence and FTTP grows, and Equipment diversity will also substantially reduce, as the routers and switches carrying data will be carrying all the voice traffic too. The buildings will reduce massively as will the leases on them and BT will eventually receive a cut of the profits from Telereal Trillium as the properties are repurposed and sold off. He talks about Market Cap, but no mention of the value locked up in EE and Openreach alone. I'm not sure if he doesn't understand the underlying business of Telecoms or if he's talking the stock down for other reasons, but the fact he does interviews on VOX makes me suspicious of his motives.

Don't need to focus on Lloyds, £7,092.16 in Lloyds dividends landing tomorrow with half of them going straight back into reinvestment.

As far as BTC is concerned, the whole model is flawed, It resembles a Ponzi scheme relying on the next person paying a higher price than the current and previous people and since there's nothing tangible backing the token, it has to rely on sentiment to support the price. It wont take much to kill BTC, and it's currently taking knocks to sentiment on a regular basis.

I posted fact not speculation, it doesn't matter what vested interest players say the price will climb to, what matters is the current price and the trajectory. If BTC climbed to $100,000 it would be for one reason only, which would be the whales trading the price up amongst themselves on low liquidity; I can't see that happening though, as the retail trade among new entrants is tailing off and manipulating the price upward could result in big losses without the new entrants. All the recent controversies is sucking enthusiasm out of the sector, and the majority of conventional economists agree that Crypto Currencies are worthless.

But the BTC price is currently less than half of "$60k" and is trending downward. Also, the remaining "1.734m Bitcoins" to be mined is spread over the next 17 years, with the rewards reducing every four years. Even if QBT are successful, they'll only get a small percentage of the annual Bitcoin production.

If QBT's theoretical 2.6 times is realisable in commercial mining, then they may well attract mining interest, but how would they work out the percentage of reward for use of the software? The miners/QBT would need a formula to calculate the network increase in performance/difficulty level from use of the software, which would depend on how many miners are using the tech and their combined hash rate. It would be a complication for the industry to determine the percentage of reward to allocate to QBT with the network difficulty algorithm working against any increase due to the software.

If you assume QBT's software works as advertised, they would still need considerable hash power/rate to compete with the big miners, and dependent on the number and scale of miners using any type of "ultra"boost technology, the difficulty algorithm would reduce the software's effectiveness the more it's used.

There are alternatives to Lithium Ion batteries, like hydrogen fuel cells. The answer would be to increase power generation from renewables and nuclear, far in excess of our domestic needs, and use the excess energy to produce and store Hydrogen from electrolysis. EV batteries aren't a solution to every transport need and it's unlikely big trucks, or Airlines, will utilise EV batteries. The World is focusing on EV battery solutions, maybe the UK should throw everything into power generation and hydrogen production, finding solutions for the issues used as an excuse to choose other alternatives to hydrogen. Also by throwing everything into power generation, and bringing down energy costs for industry, it would make the UK a far more competitive location for energy intensive industries to locate.
