When buying and selling shares there are only two price points that matter, the buy price and the sell price; Anything in-between is just noise.

Are you saying that sterling is going to appreciate by approximately 4 times? At the current exchange rate it's 3.9p per share. If people are going to post, stop making stuff up, it just makes them look stupid.

Obviously they should drop the dividend, I'm not sure why they haven't already unless they know something we don't. As far as selling assets as a distressed seller, I don't see that, if someone wants certain assets they'll pay for them. I also don't see Vodafone giving away assets, they're quite shrewd when it comes to deals; I worked for C&WW when Vodafone took them over and I saw how Vodafone play hardball.

I suspect they're focusing on the forecast drop in Free Cash Flow in the next year, possibly seeing it as a threat to the dividend.

The most accurate way is to plough through the RNS's if you're interested, personally I'm not. If I was really interested I'd create a spreadsheet and compile the information there, but I don't see it as worth my time.

Why are you bothered, unless you're planning to sell? Even if the share price dropped to 10p it's only an issue for someone desperate to sell and if it did drop too far I'd hope the dividend would be dropped and cash directed into buybacks instead. Obviously it wont drop to 10p, as the share price is already ranging around 90p and the lower it goes the more resistance to further drops. Mikey, I'm not sure why you give a running commentary of the dips in the share price, your post are becoming predictable and slightly comedic, some recent examples:

I could copy and paste every one of your posts, but the five examples I've used give the general gist of every one of your posts. Even when the price climbs your posts are negative, which is your right as we're all entitled to our own opinions, but we all get the idea now that you don't like Vodafone, so I'm not sure why you don't set your Opinion Flag as a Strong Sell?

What's going on with Equinox 2 and OFCOM? It's almost as though OFCOM are dragging out the decision to land around BT's full year results. OFCOM said they'd need an additional 2 months to decide, well it's now 2 months later and their decision still hasn't been published. The consensus opinion is that OFCOM will allow Equinox 2, but there are no guarantees and the final decision is likely to be used by the market to move the share price, more so negatively if OFCOM decide against the offer.

I must admit, the RNS on the 27th Feb advising that Stephen Shelley sold over 2.7 Million shares on the 24th Feb, with his Wife also selling 1,351 Million shares, raised my eyebrow. The day before David Oldfield sold over 2.9 Million shares, which also didn't inspire confidence. I was reassured when Lloyds Bank released their Q1 interim management statement which was good in my opinion. Why these two Directores unloaded so many shares is a mystery, unless someone else knows the reasoning behind these sales?

I'm a BT shareholder and use Google to research the stocks I'm invested in, I only telegraph information available in BT's Annual reports and results.

As far as being an insider, I worked in Telecoms for over 30 years but for one of BT's major competitors, not BT. I've worked with BT Engineers and worked on BT sites, so I do have some insight into the scale of their operations which has shaped my decision to invest in them.

As far as my age is concerned, yes I am retired but many years away from claiming my state pension, so I suspect I'm not as old as you think I am.

I'll answer those points.

1) It isn't 2.6 times faster it's theoretically 2.6 times faster, there's a difference.

2) I thought from previous updates that they already had acquired mining rigs, according to the 15th Nov 2022 update:

"During the last few months, the IT R&D platform has been improved, reaching nearly 100,000 GPU cores. Moreover, a first set of 100TH/s ASIC miners have been acquired, where the ML Method A and Method B mining software will shortly be installed."

That was 5 months ago, why aren't they already mining live Bitcoin?

Since BTC has no intrinsic value and is backed by nothing, it's worthless. At least Fiat currencies are backed by Central Banks and valued in respect of the issuing country's economy's. BTC is a floating entity with no fundamental value, so it drifts with the tide of sentiment.

The general content of the video was correct and he even separated the Financial debt from the lease liabilities, which is correct and unusual, well done to him for that. As far as the Market Cap, compared to the combined debt and lease liabilities, I'm not sure the point he was making since lease liabilities are an operating cost and not specifically debt. It was speculative to suggest that the dividend wont increase this time, but may happen due to the current capex commitments, time will tell. He talked about cost savings over the short term, but BT's cost savings will be an annual occurrence over the long term and once the FTTP/5G capex is completed, BT's bottom line will grow considerably. No mention of the fact that EE is worth around £12 Billion in its own right, or that Openreach could be worth up to £20 Billion and BT will have an option in the future to IPO part or the whole of Openreach.

The US banks and regulators clearly have a lot of soul searching to do, but don't confuse US banking with UK banking.

Just like the US make up their own alternative spellings for English words, they also operate their banking system in a different way to the UK. Their mortgages are fixed for 30 years, so when interest rates go up it discourages property purchases at the bottom of the market, since who wants to be locked in at a high interest rate for 30 years? Add to that the US is a vast country with plenty of space to build, whereas the UK is limited for new development and the UK doesn't have the same commercial property issues either. The issues around US banking don't apply to the UK, since the sector operates in completely different ways. Many of the contagion issues highlighted by the 2008 financial crash no longer apply, so whatever happens in US banking will only have a limited impact here, at worst it'd affect sentiment and the share price, but not the viability of the UK banking system. Like I said Suthy, when the price of my stocks fall, I get more stock from dividend reinvestment, which feeds back into higher dividends going forward. Look up compounding dividend reinvestment.

In my opinion the C in BTC stands for Con.

What is Bitcoin?

It's a Blockchain and the definition of a Blockchain is "a decentralized, distributed and public digital ledger that is used to record transactions across many computers so that the record cannot be altered retroactively without the alteration of all subsequent blocks and the consensus of the network". Substitute transaction for storage space and basically it's just a database.

Anyone with the relevant coding skills can create a Blockchain and build in properties as required, as proved by the nearly 23,000 crypto currencies that currently exist. The scarcity argument is clearly false, since anyone can create their own Blockchain with properties identical to BTC, or even build in enhancements to work around deficiencies in the original token, like the hard forks leading to the creation of BSV.

BTC is really just a collectable valued at whatever level the believers ascribe to it, and doesn't even live up to the narratives around the various applications used to hype it up.

Anyone who truly analyses the value of BTC, can see it has no real value at all apart from an illusory value ascribed to it by the believers; It's closer to being a religion than it is to being a commodity and at some point the mass hypnosis holding it up will collapse with people seeing it for what it really is, nothing.
