At least I paste in original information relevant to the point i'm making in the post. If you're going to criticise my posts, you should at least find something valid to criticise in them. Weak non valid and meaningless criticism does little to discredit the content in my posts and shows shallow thinking on your part, you should try harder.

It looks as though the CFTC are going after Bitcoin and Ethereum as Commodities, and the SEC are going after all the other Crypto Tokens as Securities. This shouldn't be a surprise, since anyone declaring war on the US Dollar shouldn't be surprised when the US Regulators declare war on them lol.

I only invest in UK companies that pay dividends. I used to work in Telecoms so I know the industry and I bank with Lloyds. By September we'll pull in another £7,883.94 in dividends and will bank £4,188.19 from the share dealing accounts and the £3,695.75 in the ISA's will be reinvested. The banked money goes toward the annual ISA allowance top ups, and If the share price stays low we get more shares from reinvestment.

Dividend reinvestment is out of fashion, but its gone a long way toward us growing our holdings and bringing our average cost per share down, as well as increasing annual dividend payouts year on year. It isn't exciting, it wont make us rich and you have no chance of a 1000 times increase in the share price, but it's steady and gives you the choice of reinvestment or taking income if and when you need it.

VOD's a strong company SUFCESSEX, no less so than Lloyds. I'm invested in both Lloyds and VOD and they both have their risks, just a different risk profile. I'm currently directing all my dividend reinvestments at Lloyds and BT, not because VOD is at risk of failing, but because I perceive there's a risk to the dividend. Depending on how someone wants to shape the narratives, you could argue that Banks are far riskier than Telecom companies due sentiment driven deposit flight risks, as a result of bad publicity.

Indeed I hope it stays under 45p until September, by then I'll have my VOD and BT dividends to reinvest, winner winner chicken dinner.

If you read my post correctly, you'd understand where I was coming from. As I said in the post, an NDA doesn't have to include clauses stopping companies announcing who they have NDA's with.

NDA's don't have to include clauses against pubicising the names of companies involved, it could be limited to restrictions about releasing sensitive information about designs and products. Apparently Apple don't like their name being released in reference to NDA's, but you'd think it would be in QBT's interest to allow naming companies they have NDA's with; So why would QBT want to restrict the naming of companies they have NDA's with?

I'm on the fence, FG's interviews are full of aspiration, but lacking in substance. There's nothing I've seen suggesting QBT have entered into any binding contracts, with anyone, just that they've had discussions, at least as far as I can tell from what I've seen. Has anyone else seen any big Crypto associated names mentioned in reference to QBT?

Companies like Apple are willing to pay hundreds of millions of dollars to design chips and have Chip Manufacturers "Tapeout" said chips, with the design and testing costs then absorbed in the mass produced chips eventually installed in the millions of Iphones. All I'm saying is that deep pockets are required to design and build chips at 4nm scale, so a strong business case is required to justify the investment. QBT would probably have to licence the design to a company like Bitmain, who would then go on to financing manufacture, testing and installing a mass produced ASIC into their mining rigs, probably in a similar fashion to the way ARM Holdings licence out their designs. The problem with QBT's market releases, is that everything's shrouded in secrecy and they don't appear to be communicating any substantive contractual agreements that may be in place, so everything's undisclosed and NDA hearsay.

I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason. There are lots of opportunities on the horizon around private 5G networks and 5G network slicing, so the mobile infrastructure providers are possibly looking at a changing business model.

What I suspect is happening, is a move away from direct consumer retail toward MVNO wholesale and business, and not just at Vodafone. The mobile infrastructure providers will still operate their own MVNO's, a bit like BT's ownership of Plusnet using the EE network, but they'll move away from the direct consumer facing business and concentrate on Enterprise and wholesale. They might offer MVNO's/Government/council/Enterprise business customers slices of dedicated network bandwidth with the price negotiated against the overall network bandwidth available, so you could find a competitive market forming around wholesale bandwidth.

The point I was making is that designing, making and testing a 4nm chip is north of $50 Million, so I'm not sure how QBT could afford it without a partner with deep pockets. Anyone else have any ideas?
