The news is potentially very good. It appears not good enough for some though . Some are never happy unless they are putting the boot in on anyone who expresses a different perspective to them. Why not just be happy with the news? I havent advised anyone to buy, unlike tyb. I havent made overly optimistic time related predictions, unlike tyb who has made many predictions, most of which have been off the mark. I havent made self elevating statements like 'I am very rarely wrong' unlike tyb and his paltry 9 million. Sorry if that isnt to your liking. When AC delivers, actually delivers barrels of oil, I will be happy.

The increased electricity revenues were not planned.; they are a welcome benefit from recent high energy costs.
The planned increase in italian gas production is different. If they do it in the timescales forecast then confidence will grow in their ability to deliver , trust will grow.
If they dont deliver then why should anyone believe that their other plans will come to anything?
The overly optimistic talking up of the company actually sets up ZEN for a fall.

hh100 has a job to do. Dont take his vitriolic comments personally. Its a very valid question and is not deramping.
A lot could happen in the next 9 months that may mean Zen cannot complete or even choose to walk away. Country risk should be factored into any valuation associated with this deal.
HH - i stand by my comments about speculation. I said until it was confirmed it was speculation. They were valid at the time so no apology is required. Those who waited till official confirmation have not been adversely affected for their patience and were wise to wait before jumping in. If you think I am going to waste my time arguing semantics or justifying my opinion with someone called Hedgehog 100 then you are mistaken.

It seems that after lots of disappointments and changes in direction what AC says doesnt really matter much either.
ZEN increasing BOPD is all that matters.
Hopefully this latest RNS leads to that but its not a given.

yes HH but the mid price on 23 Nov was higher than it is today so, in this case, buying on speculation instead of waiting till the news actually landed would have been less profitable.
Also, it is not a given that AC will use profits from Tunisia/Italy to fund this purchase as has been intimated on this forum. It depends what other outgoings are required for awaited developments elsewhere. If there is an intention to have an investor call, it could be associated with a fund raise. I do not think investors should underestimate the impact that increased conflict in yemen may have on this deal either.
If it all comes off as hoped then it is all good and an amazing opportunity.
The problem ZEN have is convincing the market that they can deliver on the potential. Unfortunately on that score their record isnt great. All the effort being put in by AC has to be made to count. IMO

It's good news. It aint delivered yet though. ZEN could potentially use this great opportunity to legitimately justify a fundraise but then because of some technicality (eg not getting approvals or hingbo pulling out) fail to complete.
Hopefully that will not happen and potentially its all good. .....potentially.

Approx 50% to OMV.( ZEN Netherlands) = 3000 bopd
ZEN own Approx. 50% ZEN Netherlands = 1500 bopd net to ZEN.
That is lowest figure. Hopefully higher production of 15000
bopd with drilling = 3750 bopd net to ZEN.
Above ignores exploration potential which is considerable and sale of currently flared gas.

It all looks good on paper. Hopefully, will be completed in anicipated timeframe and deliver as outlined in RNS. If so, well done AC. ZEN need to actually deliver instead of just offering huge potential but if this comes good then good for all holders.
