After listening to Berkshire some time ago, they did state and I tend to agree that quartering

reports should be gotten rid of, and just have the 2 reporting periods for the financial year.

With a slow moving business like Anglo, you can see the logic in the statement, and it would

obviously be better for business, we’re they not set up to report quarterly.

A common sense approach, that will be ignored by the bean counters doing the reports.

Some share holders have long memories. That clown Mark Clare buying Wilson Bowden.

They should just stick to building little noddy timber frame houses, and don’t over expose

the business, which this deal will surely do. I managed to get out prior to this announcement.

I don’t understand people’s logic, and that’s the point logic needs to be applied. The world

is full of bad news and the ever increasing fear and worry caused by the established media.

Surely, investors have learnt or need to learn that there will always be an opinion that is considered bad news and will affect the share price.

The only way to play the LSE is to buy in tranches, as I’ve said before, because quite frankly

any other approach could be considered gambling, because quite frankly the odds as you

should all know are stacked against the small investor.

And, finally do you honestly think that dearest Nigel has during his leadership not understood

the future risks to our business, gut feeling from me is yes, and I’m happy to hold and buy more

NMC was and is an absolute scandal. Ernest and Young were the “so called” auditors, and are

now in the do do with litigation against them for a considerable sum. They were it is fair

to say making grave errors across a number of companies that they were the so called

auditor. I hope they get a good kicking financially because it was their errors that cost

investors a lot of money, as I said an absolute scandal.

With a quality company like Lgen, I wouldn’t be inclined to keep selling my position. If the

share price went down I would buy more. The reason why I average down on quality companies is they could be prone to a bid.

Money is a bit expensive to borrow at the minute, but the so called experts are predicting

a surge of M and A. The only reason why in my opinion there hasn’t been a flurry of take

overs, is the over exaggeration of tech/AI, chips. This must surely come to an end as the

past multiples of the last few years can’t be repeated.

Once the yanks get bored with blowing up the valuations on these items, value will return.

So, it’s a waiting game, that’s my bet. Something to think about

I tend to agree on the council tax front. I missed the recent leg up in British land, I have Interests in commercial property, but decided to hold fire at present with the ever

increasing costs of business rates. Sunak did mention when he was chancellor that he

“May” do something with the tax, just words. There is good money in converting small

Commercial property to residential use, unfortunately the death of the high street is

upon us, and I can’t see a solution until the exorbitant cost of the tax is examined.
