What with the spot price of oil coming down, this is good for inflation, obviously lower inflation signals interest rate cuts. Interest rate cuts as known people have more money to spend.

I would say also the market is anticipating trade deals to be resolved. I’m sure Labour realise that lower interest rates gets people spending, which will fuel growth.

So, providing the bond markets don’t have a wobble, and there is a clear path on an aggressive policy to cut rates then surely this has to be good for retail and good businesses like this one.

Hello, no that’s not myself. I’ve moved away from companies like Cononish, I’ve found the etf a better bet. Copper appears a good recovery play which I’m currently looking at.

Clearly no similarities judging by the recovery in share price. All I can add is that the US are probably repositioning after the results here, personally I thought the results were average but someone is obviously a fan.

I would not agree entirely with what has been stated. Why, well to my mind the US is coming off a very long run, most passive investment has a footprint in the US. The projections for the S and P are quite frankly dire in the short term.

There is still very good money to be made with property, flipping property from commercial to residential where you buy with a reduced stamp duty is very lucrative.

I’ve found the probate market particularly good with distressed sellers, and the family all rowing amongst themselves, made even better if you can get the valuation office to delist the property as a dwelling.

I mention these 2 practices rather than the large scale selling with planning, because the small time investor could make decent money from the above.

Also, added to the mix with a volatile stock market and gold making new highs, there is a view that your better being able to touch your investments, ie a property is physical not like money risked on the stock market with shares.

Modern society seems clueless with anything practical, I agree being a landlord is a mugs game now, but that’s not where the real money is made.

There are plenty of good property deals out there but I would recommend being in cash to

take advantage, as being ready to go quickly offers great results.

According to CNBC the bond market sale today was well supported. A quote from the White House 75 countries have approached for talks, thus those discussions take time.

Regardless of the conspiracy theories its all about getting the Chinese to the table, long overdue. It’s just a shame that the U.K. doesn’t possess the same desire to do so. If anything is to be taken from the situation it is that the Chinese can not be allowed to continue with their behaviour.

Only last week they mentioned that they see great opportunities in the U.K. for their electric car brand, which is basically a copy of the Tesla, they are relentless unless someone steps up to challenge them.

So, the Europeans have craved, it’s just now the Chinese, and the markets will roll on. Not sure with the Chinese, they like having the upper hand, who’s gonna blink first , fascinating !

The smart thing to do now is not to try to call the bottom. Investors are best missing the initial recovery leg up which will come , and then buying in.

The rhetoric from the White House is still the same, so logically the market will retrace, this could go on for some time.

Pokerchips, you keep banging on that the debt markets rule the world, and governments need to make cuts, well regardless or not if you like the Republicans they are getting on with it.

Musk says he aims to cut the deficit by a trillion dollars, I reckon he will probably get close to that figure .

The world is full of lazy half interested people who need a kick up the rear end, hopefully we can get some of this medicine here, and cut the waste.
