Yesterday, I and my EDS16 team have met 2 World Bank Country Directors: Satu Kahkonen (Country Director for Indonesia and Timor Leste) and Stephen N. Ndegwa (Country Director for Papua New Guinea and Pacific Islands), separately.

We discussed many World Bank projects which are very much inline with countries' priorities and have been becoming a major driver for economic and social development impacts.

The subsurface study would also include Chuditch. One wonders what’s it’s saying? Bigger and better.

Some technical discussions. Still waiting to hear about about any new Woodside talks.

Dili, Tuesday, 24 / January / 2023 - Minister of Petroleum and Minerals, Dr. Victor da Conceicao met with Scientists from the Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG), from the United States of America, accompanied directly by the Executive of TIMOR GAP.
At the meeting, the Minister of Petroleum and Minerals welcomed the team of Scientists from BEG to Dili, Timor-Leste, adding that "the Greater Sunrise field is very important for the future of Timor-Leste's land development." The Minister of Petroleum and Minerals, Dr. Victor da Conceicao, thanked the Scientist BEG, who works to support the Government of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, through TIMOR GAP, in the execution of the necessary technical services for the Greater Sunrise project.
Scientists from BEG comprised of teachers and researchers, including Jay Kipper, Dallas Dunlap, Toti Larson, Robin Dommisse, Mojdeh Delshad and Hongliu Zeng.
Scientists from BEG also updated the project that is currently being executed, which is contracted by TIMOR GAP, to conduct a technical study of the Greater Sunrise Project, focusing on Detalled Subsurface Regional and Field Scale Study for the Greater Sunrise field.
This study is very important, so as to understand more detailed information on the Greater Sunrise Project Subsurface, and is also the main requirement for funding, when the Greater Sunrise Project is coming into the development and operation phase.
At the same time and at the same time, the team of BEG presented the VR technology to see directly the Subsurface Information (Reservoir, Logs, Wells Stratigraphic Information), for the Greater Sunrise field, developed by TIMOR GAP and Bureau of Economic Geology (BEG), from University of Texas, Austin, U.S.A.
The meeting took place in the meeting room of the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals, and was also accompanied directly by the Ministry of Petroleum and Minerals team.

Thoughts and prayers to those who sold last Thursday afternoon.

It’s a bit of both. There’s been a number of promising signs from both Woodside and ANPM. Plus. Timor is out of time. They need this now. Woodside also want to expand. It’s now or never. Also get it sorted before the elections.
However. This is Timor. We will know soon.

My guess is a PSC with Woodside has been agreed.

• The Sunrise Joint Venture and Australian and Timor-Leste Governments held two further Greater Sunrise trilateral meetings for 2022 to progress a new production sharing contract.
• Subsequent to the quarter, retention lease renewals were granted for Australian titles NT/RL2 and NT/RL4.

A teleconference providing an overview of the full-year 2022 results and a question and answer session will be hosted by Woodside CEO and Managing Director, Meg O'Neill, and Chief Financial Officer, Graham Tiver, on Monday, 27 February at 10:00 AEDT / 07:00 AWST / 15:00 CST (Sunday,
26 February).

I have to say the quality and detail in those slides is excellent. Really was an excellent presentation. Highly professional. Deserves a joint venture partner on that alone.

Maybe of no significance, but TL getting closer economically to Indonesia.

Díli, 24th of January 2023- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, H.E. Mrs. Adaljiza Magno, held a meeting with the Prime Minister, H.E. Taur Matan Ruak, today at the office of the Prime Minister, Government Palace.

On this occasion, the Foreign Minister Magno provided a result of the recent working visit to Indonesia and Davos- Switzerland.

Furthermore, Minister Magno and Prime Minister Matan Ruak discussed on the Application of Timor-Leste for ASEAN membership.

Can we really expect this to rise day after day right into February? Fantastic if it does, but it just seems outlandish without solid news to back it up. Would love some unexpected news to break sooner than expected. One things for sure, you can’t take your eyes of it right now. All about Chuditch. Fingers crossed.

Hoping for a surge in the price this afternoon. Massive volume. Interesting to note that Woodside was one of the most heavily traded stocks on ASX last night.

Before February, we could get news of a TImor Woodside deal. It’s very possible. You can be sure every Timor civil servant, their cousins and aunties will have bought shares in BOIL ahead of any favourable announcement for this stock. Even Mr Silva.

Just to re-emphasise what Passiton has been saying.

This will be a welcome development for Timor-Leste as foreign investors previously had to rely on Timorese procedural law for the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards. As a result of its accession, Timor-Leste’s courts will be required to recognise and enforce awards made by other states and give effect to arbitration agreements. This is particularly noteworthy given Timor-Leste’s relations with significant trading states such as Australia, Singapore, US, Japan and Canada, which are also party to the Convention.

Actually, I like a bit of ramping. Ramp away. My money is in this stock, I want wild and crazy optimism. Makes me feel better, if only momentarily. Please ramp the hell out of this. Bring it on.

Who’s ramping?

Yes it is. So hopefully things have moved on even further with progress on Chuditch. I’m very optimistic ( after Friday) off a deal on Greater Sunrise opening the door for Chuditch. I’ve posted continuously on the Greater Sunrise talks and will continue to do so. I understand their significance. I’ll also post anything else which I think gives us a clue or two as to how things are shaping up behind the scenes. Open to interpretation off course. That includes the comments from Senior Silva. TL is making great strides, WTO, ASEAN membership pending and now the New York convention. Stability and growing strength. We hope.
Risky but have a good feeling about this one.
