Grasping at straws here, but when the head of the legal team advising the Timorese government in petroleum negotiations and other matters on trade, and someone who must know a thing or two responds (on LinkedIn) to the Boil upgrade on Chuditch with the words;
“Things are looking interesting for Baron Oil PLC and #sundagas with great signs for development of the Chuditch discovery, which has been in the ground for too long! Best of luck to Andy Butler and all the team.”

It fills me with much joy.

I agree with that. Truth is, we just don’t know. We can say with some certainty that TL will need outside investment in their energy sector. Talk of pipelines/ LNG ports will require a lot of capital. . Whether that has any bearing on a Chuditch buyout or a Woodside agreement is anyone’s guess. Should hopefully know something in a matter of weeks.

The President of the Republic, Jose Ramos-Horta, and the former Head of Government of Australia Kevin Rudd discussed cooperation in the economic and petroleum sectors.

The discussion took place this Friday, after participating in the World Economic Forum which began on 16-21 January.

"We talked about the perspective of the development of the economy in Timor-Leste including the development of the petroleum sector, the possibility of diversifying the petroleum funds to increase income and also seek ways to ? the Greater Sunrise pipeline "to Timor-Leste and the development of the petroleum sector on the south coast," said the Head of State.

The former Head of Government of Australia, Kevin Rudd, as a trader promoted, to speak with his other business partners to support Timor-Leste based on the request presented by the President of the Republic.

Kevin Rudd visited Timor-Leste in 2008 as Prime Minister, giving his solidarity to the people of Timor-Leste at times of difficult situations.

Agree, this is not new or surprising. However, we are completely in the dark as to progress on Chuditch. Any information, anything at all on Chuditch, I’m interested. This is bang up to date and coming from the guy heading up the Greater Sunrise talks. It might come as a surprise to some investors that Chuditch is part of those negotiations. Get the impression most of the the twitterati probably don’t know or care about details. It’s simply a share that’s been hyped to possibly rocket and make money fast before moving on. That’s enough for most. A deal on Sunrise would have a profound effect on Sundagas and Chuditch.
Without it, we have options. Still think. this is our clearest route to market. I have a feeling, TL might concede to Darwin. Times’ up.

CFD1, I fully understand and I believe the company would never deliberately mislead. Its however important to remember that the best laid plans can go wrong. We require a competent TL government to provide stability and confidence for potential investment in their energy sector.
The usual suspects know the score. Good stuff in the background triggers buying. Delays and problems flagged by selling. No surprises.
I’m waiting for the big buys. I’m disappointed.

Credibility? The company must report events whether they’re bad or good. News can go either way. Remember Gold Oil? Companies aim for success and often fail. We’re desperate for good news but we know it’s a risk.

Opportunity to meet...WEF Chairman Prof Klaus Schwab, President of South Korea, Vice President Al Gore, old friend Kevin Rudd, an always dominant intellectual presence, Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia (we sat together over lunch), Belgium King, Minister of Finance Hadad from Brazil, PM of Kosovo, Minister and friend Pak Luhut Panjaitan. Non stop meetings all day promoting TL but also global agenda on human rights, debt relief.

Great TL team with Foreign Affairs Minister Adalgiza Magno, tireless Amb Lurdes Bessa, my Senior Adviser Dr. DIONISIO Babo, TL ASEAN expert leaders Milena Rangel, Fernanda Borges. And others from the TL team. Tremendous support from WEF Secretariat and author Dr. Mandeep Rai.

Today my last day and a busy morning.

We’ve gone from “ The Company remains in talks with multiple potentially interested parties”, to “continuing efforts to attract partners”.
They choose their words very carefully. Certainly no done deal in the background. The CPR is now really important. Suspect TL politics isn’t helping. I remain cautiously optimistic but I’m disappointed with the flat tone of the RNS. I don’t understand the certainty that some investors have of blue skies. Still potentially lucrative but just got a little riskier.
