NDA /RnD with INTEL versus Samsung and TSMC?19 Jan 2022 01:10
Directory of companies in the field of ASIC:

For 7nm-or-under fabs, currently the only players in the industry with capacity for production are Intel, Samsung and TSMC.
The next gen Bitmain miners (s19xp) due for release July 2022 will use a TSMC 5nm.
Currently, the world’s fastest bitcoin miners on the market are crafted by firms like Bitmain, Canaan, and Microbt using chips between 12nm to 7nm.
The question by poster IGOR in December was:
Q) Who did QBT partner with for their 5nm ASIC?
Out of the final 3 which can manufcature 3nm or 5nm:
I doubted it was Samsung nor TMSC (any of the Chinese manufacturers for that matter)
Besides TMSC is noted as a “Third party” foundary manufacturer and used by BITMAIN/ Cannaan, therefore QBT FG would not share the same.
Bitmain a large customer for TMSC - BitMain itself would not be happy also.
A Risk for TMSC to lose their client. Chinese look after their own always.
Risk for QBT patent also.
It would also overlap with their (Bitmain) rollout and orders of of new machines.
I would therefore cross-off TMSC and Samsung.
That leaves INTEL - a major foundary
We may have a NDA with Intel.
We both have secrecy, INTEL also appear not to give anything away at this point.
Using different wordings everywhere, except:
However this is a potential give away:
INTEL news: For now, it isn't clear if Intel will release the Bonanza Mine chip as a product for the public or if it remains confined to a research project”.
However, given that the chip is in the "Highlighted Chip Releases: Digital/ML"
INTEL December-21: indicating that the company is working on specialized hardware for blockchain/cryptocurrency technologies.
QBT; Nov30th - Dec 5th - We made an announcement on NDA.
or if it remains confined to a research project...?
We have access to the foundary/ manufacturer’s RnD design support - our is a RnD design project also.
We have not agreed to go public about manufcaturer.
Where ML refers to AI/ machine learning
Now QBT have not discussed any detailed farm-out agreements with major foundary:TBA
Public or propiety use is to be thrashed out between the two parties: still TBA
Therefore that statement above fits in? YES/ NO?
We have access to RnD and co support with major Foundary - yes
Our announcement is in the last week of Feb ,as is INTELS? Yes
INTEL is a US company:Dwave is US based, fits with IG and US crypto exchange recent takeover launch and with a potential US Nasdaq listings. IG’s super confidence, maybe they do know something.
Coincidence statements:
Intel also states: with companies like Bitmain providing the specialized silicon to miners at hefty premiums”
FG: had the same beef and complained about hefty premiums of miners prices.
I don’t wish to start a rumour.
But that is my honest take.
All our big news is in Feb incl stock options from Feb 15th
INTEL’s are using different terms so as not to highligh
