AI /Deep Learning, Machine Learning RnD +Dwave computational power:
July 12th RNS:
“QBT’s quantum computing team is working on the ( Dwave) “Leap platform” with the goal to exploit the speed of quantum computations, which can be, under the appropriate conditions, “several order of magnitudes faster than a classic computer”.
Oct 26th: RNS
In the early stages of the AI Deep-Learning tests to optimise the Bitcoin mining algorithm, QBT’s AI system autonomously generated one of the already existing optimisation provided to the Company by its expert. This “first result” strongly supports the AI Deep Learning strategy adopted by the Company.
Nov 5th: RNS
RnD on AI Accelerator:
“Moreover, early experimental evidence, using AI techniques to multiply by several factors the speed of an FGPA for computing the Bitcoin mining algorithm, would make even an FPGA a competitive Bitcoin mining tool. This same principal would apply to ASIC and other existing commercial mining tools. (Commercial GPU’s?).” Tests on this innovative approach, will continue over the next three months - (expected Jan-22)
“Using AI techniques to multiply by several factors the speed of an FPGA” already evident by AI workgroup back end of Oct-21
Dec 5th: CEO interview:
We are currently seeing extraordinary results from our AI Team, which means if we can incorporate those results into our chip, our chip could be 100x, 1000x faster. I’m not saying we will be able to achieve this result, but our early indications are, our AI techniques will make the computational bitcoin mining algorithm even faster.
By 3 orders of magnitude.
“By 3 orders of magnitude”
=1000x
To summarise CEO states from “several orders of magnitude 10,000x - 100,000x, to multiply by several factors the speed, to 3 orders of magnitude 100x - 1000x”.
Take your pick and try not to overthink...lol
