Hi Sweepie, for every $1 BTL goes up in price is worth about �350k to VELA. So at current market cap, a $1 BTL rise would increase the value of VELA's portfolio by 10%. Thats the way Ive been looking at it anyway. Looking forward to a big week for blockchain, and especially BTL!

Interesting to note Angus Campbell @ BTL make a few comments on a Facebook blockchain / crypto adoption article earlier: https://twitter.com/AngusJMCampbell/with_replies For those of a negative disposition, I am not suggesting there is any current link between BTL and Facebook, merely drawing attention to the all-encompassing scale of blockchain's implementation and the enormous market opportunities that may present themselves to a proprietary company due to publically unveil it's 3rd generation tech next week. One sentence in the article did however jump off the page for me, and would possibly allow us to dream - just a little (inter)bit... "Facebook will likely need to make acquisitions in the blockchain and cryptocurrency space to develop its own virtual currency".

Hi MF, as we wait for a deal confirmation of blockchain / crypto-exchange RTO I find Money's (and SW's) posting highly pertinent. Especially when you reflect upon JH's considerable success and connections alluded to at 32Red. However while we are on the subject of relevancy... despite all opinions being welcome, I find it very strange that someone who posts so seldom would do so upon a stock message-board in which they are not invested. In fact your entire posting history appears to consist of detrimental contributions where ever you comment. A less charitable person might think it is a less than discrete attempt to achieve a better entry price. Best of luck - whatever your strategy.

Once digital currency goes mainstream, anything crypto / blockchain related will ignite. The proactive interview alluded to a potential crypto-exchange deal as one possibilty - and should a deal to be announced to coincide with the Wall Street adoption of BTC this summer, BLOC would be regarded as the most legitimate and pure-play sector related stock on the London markets. IMHO

Totally agree with comments below. There is always a risk with any micro-cap stock, but the potential for a life-changing gain here is absolutely staggering. I have every faith that management can evolve BLOC into an umbrella company for several blockchain / crypto exchange based businesses. RS & JH have considerable 'form' when it comes to creating �100m companies, and I see no reason why they cannot replicate with BLOC. Especially when there are so few London listed shares with 'pure-play' exposure to the sector.

Hi Mannnan, with positive sentiment returning to the blockchain / crypto sector a few other UK based sector related stocks in which I am invested have risen 50% + in the past week or so. I suspect it will only a matter of time before VELA catches up. Bought 300k earlier and looking for another...

Not much change from 10p on the offer. One things for sure, whether its this weeks or months down the line - anyone investing after deal confirmation will probably do so at a considerable premium to the current price levels

Morning A-H, it could also be that with positive sentiment returning to the blockchain / crypto sector that the limited amount ofshares available here means that a pick-up in buying interest moves the share price quite rapidly. A couple of other sector related stocks in which I am invested have risen 50% + in the past week or so. Perhaps it was only a matter of time before BLOC caught up...

Worth noting that a similar cash shell AIQ achieved a market cap of �75m before recently going into suspension, with only �3m in the bank and only twitter based rumours that the company would pursue a blockchain focussed strategy. BLOC has a clear company mandate by a management team with a proven track record which has generated hundreds of �millions in shareholder value. With �1.5m , if BLOC were to replicate the cash to mcap ratio of AIQ it's share price would be over �1. I am not suggesting that this would reflect an accurate valuation of BLOC's current status - merely that a significant positive price realignment is highly possible in anticipation of blockchain / crypto-exchange deal confirmation.

Bid has just ticked up again to 7.5p looks like mm's are running out of stock. Not surprising really with an exceptionally tight float and �2.5m mcap. Certainly doesn't take much to move this - look forward to seeing what happens when something is announced!

Would prefer gradual rises also - but might flush out a bit of company info, and any coverage will help increase the profile of #BLOC

Due to lack of liquidity and sizable spread often associated with small caps buying into a stock like VELA for anything other than a long term hold is unlikely to return life changing sums. My admiration for those who have successfully traded VELA and good luck with their strategy. Like most who have been here since 2017 I am looking for a lot more than 25-50% gains and quite happy to hold until thiose aspirations are realised. That might be during the summer months or in a few years time, but I am glad I'm holding while price is at current levels because the paradigm technology shift that blockchain and digital currency represent, will one day be regarded as influential as the introduction of the internet. This will not happen overnight but I'm confident VELA will profit handsomely from the transition. Best of luck whatever your investment choice.

Hmmm - another tick up and buys getting bigger...we may yet see a return to the heady volumes of JAN at this rate. I see Goldmans announced yesterday that they will begin digital currency futures trading in the next couple of weeks after being "inundated" with client requests. With BTC hovering just below the $10k psychological barrier - it could be a crypto 'summer of love' for any stocks involved...

Only a matter of time SS. Positive sentiment returning to the realms of blockchain / crypto - Goldmans announced yesterday that they will begin trading digital currency futures in the next couple of weeks, having been "inundated" with client requests and BTC looks likely to crack $10k this weekend. A few of the stocks I hold with exposure to the sector have seen some upward momentum in the last 48 hours and it will not been long until VELA follows suit. Convert now and IMHO your timing may well prove to be impeccable, SS... Good weekend and Jesus loves you!!! Even if nobody else does.

As a LTH like yourself, Im not counting any chickens until news announced and happy to see a bit of upward momentum. But it's difficult not to get a little bit excited about the potential here. The management team here is capable of pulling off something big - we know they are checking out a few opportunities in the blockchain / crypto spectrum and the video interview alluded to a possible coin exchange deal / rto. As far as I know there are no London listed companies with a similar exposure, suggesting that confirmation of such a deal would be a massive coup. The publicity this would generate and tight float should ensure an upward realignment commensurate at least to the mcap of BLOC's current peers. At �2.5m with �1.5m in the bank and minimal cash burn, I see very little downside here, but the scope for significant near-term gains - RH even used the term 'multi-bagger' and suggested that x 10 / 20 growth is not beyond the realms of possibility.
