Uncanny parallels with Polarean: groundbreaking product; great science; lots of R&D collaborators; clueless commercial strategy; CEO hopeless.....Newland has to pull a large rabbit out of the commercial hat w/i next 3 -6months otherwise its curtains for him as the insitutions will pull the trigger. His comprehensive failure of leadership has left s/holders totally shafted. £100m+ spent and we've got nothing to show for it apart from major losses everywhere.

For an experienced commercial leader, Gott really needs to be taken aside and explained the facts of listed corporate life. He's made himself look very foolish trailing newsflow to Vox that just hasn't happened. Just shows the difference between experienced plc chief execs & chairman and the AIM crowd. As a result, investorswill now think twice about believing anything he says regarding timelines...farcical and entirely avoidable if only he had kept his trap firmly shut.

And appalling misalignment between the Board ans shareholders. Given the BoD is supposed to oversee Nero Newland and represent s/holders interests, Selvey’s disastrous reign as Chairman is right up there as another reason. The Board has virtually no economic involvement in the company with current chair not owning one single share. Shameful

That should read 4.75 billion shares...but you get teh point. The number is mind boggling and means no market maker worth his salt wants to hang on to that amount of paper when teh exchange market size i.e. the minimum number the market maker is obliged to quote is a mere 300,000

Not just that AJS, they havent got a mine to produce any of the stuff.....you paper the world with the amount of shares the Aussie scoundrel has issued.....we have a mkt cap of £28m, and 43.75 BILLION shares in issue...its absolutely insane.

I agree that this company has a strong base, but the Abdullahs seem to have no energy or vision to drive the company forward.

GIven revenues have halved over the last 5 years from close to £20m in 2018 to £11m last year (a drop of 30pc on prior year), where is teh energy to rebuild and expand coming from? We have yet to have any meaningful acquisition, and the busines just potters along. Without QRO the company would have been in trouble. What QRO shows is that they are pretty good at acquisitions...but that was bought back in 2016......

Lots of unaswered questions that Mr Market has given up asking hence the share price slump.

The advisers should take Gott aside and tell him to keep his mouth shut as, and until, newsflow actually hits the tape.

...and its just Monday lunchtime folks. The only people making any money out of Nero Newland's disastrous reign are the market makers. And where are the directors buys, if th e future is so bright? Oh, I forgot NEDs are discouraged from invest in the company on the utterly spurious grounds of conflict of interest, which as a result means our newly minted chairman owns not ONE SHARE (so he's not lost anything either). At the current rate of descent, this gets picked up for pennies, together with cash pile, and an FDA licensed product in a go-to area. Bravo Newland!

Speaking as s/o who worked for a cutting edge R&D NASDAQ listed group back in teh day, it is always the same triumph of hope...I used to go straight to the back of annual reports to check on cash position....unlike Facebook's hoovering up of software companies, where they could add them to their suite of products w/o really bothering about adoption and traction, med tech is very different and until Nero can get some chunky contracts thro that show the device is getting real traction with end customers, it will be v.difficult to get this sort of deal past the internal M&A committees....Nero has to stop playing Walter Mitty and get on with it.

The world class uselessness of our Board, and their behaviour towards investors is another reason the share price has cratered.

they in the past have put out absolute ball ****s about neds not owning shares for conflict of interest reasons!! utterly scandalous, as i can think of any number of aim listed companies where there is proper alignment between board and s/holders. as a result, we have had the worst of all worlds: an incompetent, detached bunch of has-beens with absolutely no economic involvement in the company they are supposed to oversee.

the newly installed chairman is a case in point: he doesnt own a single bloody share, so he has no risk to him, unlike his poor shareholders.

One wonders if the reason Michael Cunnignham left is that he saw what we couldn't that operationally, it was going to take far longer to deliver the Board's promises.....

I had intended to try and go and see the whites of Newland’s eyes but prevented by work. Typical of Newland that there was 1. No statement accompanying AGM resolutions and 2. The votes for/against on the resolutions were not included. The governance of this company is utterly shameful. Does anyone know whether Newland actually made a statement of any kind at the meeting?

It would be great to think that both Newland and Selvey & the NEDs are made to answer for their sins in front of shareholders.

BG don’t tend to sell down after less than a year - that is not their style. Newland is a complete liability
