Xmas came early for me today and sold all at 397.8 .just before close .only ! because a few days ago I was under pressure when it hit 384 ..totally delighted with my action , you know me seldom hold more than 2 weeks …..I’ll be back in next week happy to buy at 393 … JJ luvin your optimism at a 500 and Carrington love your more realistic and very achievable 450 ,

Played the stocks about 25\years now with mixed success,traded M&S over 100 times and can’t explain the price especially at this time of year has stagnated for weeks now , just saw this posted today yet sp drops its min boggling

British retailer Marks & Spencer's (MKS.L) food business has entered Christmas trading with momentum as industry data showed it to be the country's second fastest growing bricks-and-mortar grocer after discounter Lidl.

Market researcher NIQ said on Wednesday that M&S's grocery sales in the 12 weeks to Nov. 30 were up 10.6% year on year, while Lidl's sales increased 11.6%

Now 389 this scam !!? Everything has been in favour of this quality stock , the big boys been raising target price to 450 plus ? so manipulated and controlled .. I’m angry as went in big a week ago at 393.7 ..

Yep big TY Blackrock bought yesterday @ 368 was hoping to sell before Xmas at 378 but no sold this morning @ 383 could not be happier , this is my 3 rd trade on this stock this week , I must mention I took a hit 3 weeks ago playing this roulette way and my 3 trades take me back to where I was then plus a bit

That would be sweet Bull, cost covered already but I holding fell there will be a couple more points tomorrow, may even hold for the Jan dividend , no pressure to sell …best wishes Pete

Not posted in a while on M&S as not holding stock till the dust settles , I’m the guy that posted overheated at 393 back in October , I know most of sensibly are in it for the long term , not me did a nice little trade yesterday in at 374 out at 382 a few hours later nice little profit after expenses … bought them all back an hour ago @368.5 with the hope it will make 378 before Xmas I’ll be happy and take profit .. I think this is the way to make profit at the moment catching timing and catching the swing .. good luck to all investors around this price it’s a buy

Thanks Fats ..not doubling this time if it does go lower ,my calculations are if it hits 390 for just one second between now and year which is doable I’m nicely home ..

Delion yes of course, I don’t tell people what they should do with their money ,not only do I have my own portfolio but as a director I own 25% of a family portfolio currently with around 37 different stocks it’s controlled by fellow director my big brother he knows me and won’t let me anywhere near it with my Maverick ways Lol …in each financial year at the most he may sell 2 to 3 holdings and reinvest but all long holding quality stock many for 40 years he is getting older now and as of today St James Place has been given authorisation to trade the portfolio for us ..

Fats what you say is sooo! correct and this crazy M&S fluctuations is perfect for players like me , yes I do have the time ,the skill ? however I put down to luck and timing ,if I may add into your summing up Fats the element of excitement has to be added into the equation and that’s where the fun is for me ..if written much about trading m and s stock as this week has been phenomenal for me but ! as has happened in the past if I make a mistake I’m stuck as I can’t trade as have no working capital and that may last a week or more or sell at a loss which I’ve done many a time … good luck Fats from Richmond London

Budd Whilst you are busy criticising my ability to make a profit trading I agin a few hours ago bought back at 391 just sold at 397.68 .5 mins ago … my 4th M&S trade in 48 hours all this time you have watched your holding in M&S drop at one point 24 p from 4.16 to 392 ……….and that’s why !! Congratulations on your 165% Gain now post about some of your losses Budd lol , I wish you well in all your investments.

Ps I’ve traded in this sock 30 times the last few months 28 successful , I do my own research and timing is everything just be careful when the music stops your not left lost without a seat

JJ , I don’t want to post on here happy to show you receipts I should you have any doubt I have 25 successful trades on M and S out of 27 with real money ,I also did 2 years of ghost portfolios that you suggested …and now looking to buy back m and sat 394 on trade plan

Agreed JJ ,£5 doable in 25 if not high 400s I’d like to think , as to the budget yes increase to employers 15% nic ,not great but it’s on a level playing field with Tesco & Lidl etc , and as to the rise in minimum wage M & S have always paid more so this should have little effect on SP we are already over 400 and Xmas spending round the corner along with a poss int rate cut today …Good luck to you on this stable investment ..Best Pete V .

Delion ,”doubling up at 395 not the greatest idea “ you say ? This stock was trading at 416 hours before I have now just sold 6289 @ 405.65 netting me after SD & Costs an overnight gain of £511 , I am still holding the original lot bought yesterday at 399.3 which is also showing a gain of £200 .. This sock is capable of £5 in 25 it’s doable ,I did not make the decision to invest this amount lightly as mistakes are expensive .. good luck I wish you very success in your longtime investment with M&S .

Mmmmm thought a buy back in at 399.3 was a sensible call but alas price took another adjustment so doubled up and bought same quantity again at 395.34 leaving me holding hoping for a Christmas bonus .remember these are not just shares these are “ Marks & Spencer shares ! “ I know I’m breaking all the rules and this is about the 3rd of my whole portfolio funding .

I’m back in 399.3 gonna hold now and forget about M&S till year ,done over 25 trades on this stock recently 23 successful ..happy with my basket .. you all made such good money today go treat yourself to something a new car ? or maybe a weekend away .i
