Yes JDS sadly heading to lawless Britain.. shoplifting now legal as long as less than £100 a time police don’t attend ,,my nephew came to visit on a brand new 18k motorbike they stole from right outside parked off road police despite several calls in the ends never even showed up ,we found the bike badly damaged 500 yards away next day .

Anyway back to job in hand M&S I do hope their cyberattack issue gets resolved this week ,just feel we are not being told all or where they are really at ,the general public been great in support as many saying stores up and down the country very busy I just hope busy enough to hold the share price till much waited end of year results . I read somewhere on here this morning possibly The Guardian the estimate cost of loss of revenue to m & s circa £40m a week across the board ,given from memory a typical week to be £250, 000, 000 the loss is more than a drop in the sea …But looks like many issues have been£n fixed now only the online and stock logistics to improve now .. Broken Broker I have no more knowledge than you whether they have BCP cover my guess they thought they would have not needed it a month ago .

My thinking is MS total revenue / turnover across the board circa 250 million a week roughly 13 billion

Estimated drop over last 2 weeks circa 40 million a week ? in lost sales .plus the huge cost of the IT team trying desperately to save the day ..

Thinking tomorrows close/might be even less that Fridays close ..I hope not

I’m so well TY Forest ..London hot hot hot and I have decent weekend planned ..In the real world I’m a very nice person and yes ofcourse I sometimes wind some people up here ,I don’t like bullies and there is a few on here that think it’s ok to have a go at anyone who dare say anything negative about M&S even if it’s true .

I really do wish M&S get to the bottom of this very soon it’s so unfair and gets the SP back on target this year ,maybe a little more on the dividends too ,don’t know where some people get the idea I’m a shooter never in a million years ..I want the price to rise ,I hold no stock and would be looking to buy any in the near future

Such a shame I did have some regrets selling last Friday at 380 ( paid 385 the day before ) but could not understand why the SP held up so welll I assume on the soon to come end of year report .. when this comes public knowledge possible next week will be closer to 300 than 450.

JDS I don’t know if their Professional Indemnity insurance would cover cyber attack s ? If so odd they have not stated this , also is there a house / broker big enough to covers millions of a loss ongoing per day ? and if there is we could be talking 8- 10 years before seeing a penny .

Feel sorry not so much for the shareholders but for the staff and reputation of all that’s been achieved in the current leadership over the last 4 years

Don’t think cause JJ has 4500 posts and followers he is correct , 99% of his post on m and s are positive even if it dropped 20% his post would be positive ,look at the facts over last 7 months and the fall , JJ if I was in as deep as you I’d panic too , hey I’m not any smarter than you I sold a week ago at 380 a loss of £700 including costs .

Manipulated..I can’t think of any reason for this stock to rise In this catastrophic events for MS my wild card thinking is the the big boys who are up to their neck in it raising the price to dump stock by the ton very soon , also these posters oh here say buy buy buy bargain ! pick up on the dip! Etc. but don’t back it up with any facts or logical reason , buyer beware ,me I’m happy to sit it out even if I’d does go 400 this week , I will have lost nothing

Good post and link “Broken Broker” a frightening read .. also “Make some Money “ yes like you I’m totally amazed at how the share price is holding up!! this is very serious with most posted news being negative, glad I’m out yesterday all be it at a 5p Per sh loss , I would not be buying back anywhere near this price .

All I can think as to what’s keeping this price stable is the soon to be announced end of year results expected to be amazing ! but remember this price is already built into today’s price

I’d really like to see M and S get out of this sh.t storm ,they deserve better and one of my all time fav companies ,I’m very pleased with my decision we will see soon see .

Good post Couerdelion …and yes …are we being told all? got this feeling we are being kept in the dark a little to offset a panic sell , I am aware that this could all change in a flash but when ? also as you mentioned the knock on effect on all aspects of M&S future could be vast .

Anyway its done for now with mixed feeling looking at Banks splitting the funds in 2 lots half in Lloyds , half in NATwest .
