Morning retirement ..no no no no old chum not vanished in the slightest 😀..far from it ,in fact enjoying the discussion over the last few days with interested because I came across some scribbled working I made when I sold all my M&S stock months ago at 380 and made a not in diary to buy back at 350 roughly where we are at today…

Hi JJ in your words yes I do fancy a dabble …the only reason I’m holding back is correct me if I’m wrong but a stock can go down as well as up ? on this site over the last 12 months and only! on this site approx 99.2% of the posts tell us how brilliant

M&S are Buy !Buy! Buy ! Strong Buy ! every post the same , for example today retirement says “up 31p in 8 days “ great if you bought 8days ago 😀, but no mention of the fact if you bought 5 months ago on their posts you would be down 62p?

Only one person 2 if you include me that’s Davidthehorse months and months ago he forcast 320 got laughed at and abuse we he came within 9p ….anyway I would like to buy back in and by the looks of things the sooner the better 🙂..

Ps I’m a trader as you all know quick in and out that’s the thrill even more than the money I also respect the LTH who have generally lately done very well ..anyway Another !gorgeous morning here in London I’m off to lunch on the river at Richmond

Absolutely Carrington ! money to be made here IMO , my plan ideally is to buy in circa. 310 -315 selling at 340 with a 10% profit within 3 month excluding div ofcourse ,this is unless they are honest and post a profit warning which they soon will ,then my offer to buy will reduce to 299 😀 only needing to reach 330 in 2026 to complete my trade .. stay positive looks like you are holding a good spread . GL dyor etc ..

Congratulations ..and I can see how my advise / opinion would be be of no interest to you with your experience ,however when I said yesterday could hit as low as 33O by the end of the month it was tongue in cheek not seriously thinking it poss but no do i see 325 ? … I have now cancelled my trade plan to buy back in at 320 and reduced it to 317 happy to donate at this price and if I miss the swing so what I’ve lost nothing … good luck Fender 🙂

Good chap Carrington and a well written post it won’t happen again ,now let’s hope we can get M&S back up there were it belongs ,I feel for you choosing today of all days to top up but you are an investor not a trader or a shorter ,so prob not concerned much better than topping up at 399 , I bought as a trader 385 , took a hit the next day selling at 380 a small loss had I not could have dropped 5k plus … of course I know no more than anyone else other than we must be getting close to the lowest price ….i wish you a prosperous month Best Fender

G/day ,one of the down sides of this site is no facility to edit /delete and yesterday I called Carrington a knob ,I regret doing this it was rude ,no excuse it was a knee jerk to his post that I felt was patronising and disrespectful to the less well off amongst us who without Lidl / Aldi would struggle to feed a family after monthly utility bills and a weekly food shop at M&S exorbitant prices would be a luxury beyond their dreams …

Another massive drop today on SP could my pricing topic be one of the many factors holding back even the smallest glimmer of recovery … still worth investing but hold fire could reach as low as 330? By the month end just saying 😀

Indeed Cobblerman I miss the best of the yellow sticker products as I have to shop in the morning ,but chatting to neighbours arriving home after a days work the pick up some amazing end of day meals M&S really are good at marking down esp useful if you have freezer space ..I wanted to raise my concerns that any further increase might drive regular weekly food shoppers elsewhere …. I think I saw M&S fillet steak now £100 kg ,

Sorry retirement I didn’t make people aware of the Hack as your post suggests because I thought the shareholders might have been aware of it already ? And yes of course ! my forecast would be different without the Hack … I felt a 300m to 400m lost might just affect the balance sheet a tad hence my forecast 🤔 along with the rise in NIC , minimum wage and very strong competition .. my suggestion to the marketing people at M&S was perhaps recouping this massive loss by overkilling their already high food prices may not be the cleverest of idea s that’s all ,but I wish you luck in reaching your target best Fender .

Ps just heard on the news food inflation to hit 6% soon ,mainly due to staff costs. Nic and min wage hikes , this of course I realise hits all retail not just M&S

Good morning I would like to say in response to Neilhump in his opinion no one pays any attention to my forecasts maybe they don’t but if you check Neil’s last 200 posts since April (411) every single post says “STRONG BUY!” and here we are 3 months later sitting 71p down at 340 DYOR make your own mind up and be careful who you trust on here , just cause Hump has posted

JJ 300m loss is the worse scenario case you say ? I hope you are right ,at 1st when I saw this figure thrown about months ago I was hoping it was 300m loss of turnover I am right in thinking they are saying now it’s loss of profit?? a very big difference I’m sure you will agree , this worries me when their profit on a good years circa 800m , also I was wondering if the fig of 300m that you think is too high incorporates any loss of goodwill and very strong competition in the year ahead in my humble opinion I would estimate the total effect of the cybersecurity breach to be in real terms. £500m , but hey dyor and good luck to all shareholders ,😀

Premix careful what you wish for ,the shorters have made their biggest Killing ever on M&S over the last 6 months kicking ass making money all day long day in day out that’s fact ! I am a careful trader not a shorter , I despise shorters for moral and decency reasons but they don’t scare me , they making money out of other people’s misery .
