Only 5 million shares Toffers, as it’s another one of those Rollover trades that we keep seeing. Nice buy though. No more shares for me now as I’m fully invested. Just waiting for this one to turn around…..

Reminds me of those words from the great Warren Buffet.

The best advice I can give, for what it’s worth, is for investors to ignore all the noise and pay no attention to any negativity on BBs.

For me, it’s all about doing my own research and following the fundamentals. Cykel is a relatively nascent company being driven by guys who know what they are doing, with a fantastic offering which is yet to reach its full potential in what is a massive market. AI is revolutionary and it is a case of adapt or die for companies going forward.

My advice to any new investor is to buy as much as you can afford to, then go and do something else and watch Cykel mature with age. Bixby has developed and sold loads of businesses and has been an active angel in many more and knows what he is doing.

Afternoon Toffers. My first visit to Madeira after being on the radar for years. Stayed in Funchal, a lovely place and did some walking in the Picts and trip up the cable car to Monte Palace to see the gardens. Only downside was we lost 2 days of the holiday after contracting what we suspect was Norovirus in the resort.

Well done on breaking the 3 mill holding; let’s hope this comes good for us all, I’m going to have another top-up later this week.

Morning folks. Just got back from a week in Madeira and looks like not too much had happened whilst I’ve been away. I did notice that I was a load of chat missing yesterday, but realised that it must be someone I’ve already got on my filter list !

Morning Toffers. Sounds like I may not have lost as much as you on the Russian Mine saga, but I did lose in excess of £100k on Scirroco Energy (formerly Solo Oil) which really hurt. My problem was holding the stock for too long, buying more and averaging down and convincing myself that it would come good. …which it didn’t. I also realised that I’d overexposed myself to too much of one stock. I am firmly of the opinion though, that to succeed in life you sometimes have to fail and picking yourself up and learning where you went wrong usually works.

That being said, I have made a good profit on St James’s Place in the last year after buying in when their shares tanked last spring due to their fees probe. I knew they would bounce back as the negative press was way overblown and I have my pension with them.

Don’t get me started on getting your fingers burned, I may turn in to Marvin the Paranoid Android off Hitchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy ! I had my fingers well and truly burned on Scirroco Energy (used to be Solo Oil) and Expansys, the latter being linked to Peter Jones from Dragons Den. Grrrrr……
