b&b-ing .....ISA's getting stuffed?.......at any rate interesting activity due..... plus rns for quarterly production should land us a timely news article or two
.....I read sometime ago an article which said USA shale produces poor quality oil which gets improved by blending with Saudi crude..... that's why US imports crude, Saudis need that market as a customer...if they mess around with shale too long that customer market vanishes...USA not all buying electric yet!
Bloobird, that BP have been interested in the WOS fractured basement and would like to see what it is capable of ...so motivated to keep taking our oil by curiosity too

Giant Squid topic bridges both sea life/animals covid transmission potential via calamari...and HUR mascot animal ...so should it be banned from discussion?
you are right that Lancaster has been producing oil around 11 months, but the early production was 'flow testing', they said they needed 12 month's 'steady production'(meaning from first oil).....so they have nearly 10 months steady production for one well and 7/ 8 for the other that was shut in for a while
ok tar barrel stuff not required, but lower grade oil still has large market in shipping....suppose the deciding factor is distance to market esp inland USA where moving the stuff becomes more expensive than it is worth doing. Re. us, there'll always be a niche market for the high quality crude such as ours and we have an advantage in being at sea and close to markets.
we'll just have to make do with offloading oil, 10 months steady production coming up, making a profit, buy in points for next rally up, giant squids.....etc.etc
BBC news not much better!....if you ever listen to news on radio 4 at 11pm it might have a very interesting story, but by the next morning when the editors have looked at it it disappears to be replaced by a very dull story...
Wessexmario and MCB55 for theories! pressure gradient coming into play, more of well-bore, fractures debris being pushed through allowing better flow pathways, whole of reservoir gradually coming into play.....all sound very encouraging
it sounds like he means aquifer pressure from below (oil floats on water) is driving the oil to surface at improved pressure. perhaps oil techies can explain to us? we were just producing from a small section of the heel ...is more of the well-bore producing now?
