Wouldn't call it weird really, it was his business after all. If he never mentioned it I'd just leave it in the past and look to the future. He like a lot of us at the time, had faith in the Falklands. Hopefully it will come good. If not, we all get closure.

Gozzie, please don't invest your hard earned off the back of one of my posts. My investing track record is awful to say the least. Far better to hold and wait and see if your Dad's investment decision was a good one (hopefully it was). Incidently, did your Dad used to post on iii? Would be interested to know if he did and under what name?

Can't really do a lot about the management now in my opinion. Vote them out at the AGM? A lot of decisions have already been taken. Do we wan't another bod taking over and putting the brakes on whilst they reassess? My own personal view is that it too late now, our course has been set so I'm just going with the flow. Personally got a lot invested here at a much higher average than today's sp. Have topped up where possible and brought it down to a level where I just might make a profit if all goes to plan. Cancelled the orders for Sunseaker/villa/Aston ages ago!! Also, I have a couple of small stakes in ARG and PMO which have now bagged for me. Haven't done that in a long time. ARG was done within a month, a damn good feeling. GLA.

Once Sea Lion is underway - looking more likely by the day - other prospects will come back onto the radar. RKH has a good interest in some of those other prospects. This will have a positive impact on the SP as the SP currently only reflects the state of SL IMO. Falkland Islands fever part 2 hopefully kicking in later this year.

I agree that the 'measly' 40% recent rise is down to the farm in partner not yet being official. Hopefully a similar tick-up when it is fully signed off. GLA

Recent sp activity suggests that a tight ship has been run by PMO/RKH. It could well reach those levels in the near future but there are bound to be good and bad days along the way.

Great call on ARG Garbs. I took note of your posts a few weeks back and took a small punt with the intention to plough any profit into RKH. Think I'll hold for a while and see how things play out. Hope you reach your goal this time on this one!!

Agree with your logic HeidHoncho but it begs a couple of questions then -

1. Does their North Sea expansion require such a large office?
2. Once Sea Lion is in production, will it still be run from London FIBU?

As you rightly pointed out, these moves are a long time in the planning - just like Sea Lion.
