Damn, that's disappointing. The stats were not up on my site when I looked earlier, then there were 3, so I assumed that was it for the previous 24hrs. I agree that a more stringent lockdown could work over a shorter time. Trouble I guess is not everyone will play ball.

Effects of the lockdown can't have kicked in this soon surely? - U.K have 111 new cases and 3 deaths in the last 24 hours. I know our stats are skewed as we only test in hospitals but glad we won't be reading about another increase tonight. This has a long way to run yet, keep safe everyone.

Italian deaths from this virus have now overtaken the Chinese, not good. Sincerely hope they get it under control and other counties take note.

Well Nigoil seems to think it's a positive RNS over on ADVFN. It at least confirms that Navitas haven't fully signed up yet. I think they will now sit on the sidelines until either CV blows over and / or normal poo is resumed. Sounds promising that the Russians have blinked, but wouldn't surprise me if it's part of their game plan.

Big week coming up for PMO. Early days following the oil crash and virus but lets hope the tide starts to turn for us.

What's the point? Look at the spread. Unless SA & Russia are friends again and the virus has died out, then I can't see this rise being sustained.

The way I'm reading it is the Gov are holding off because they don't believe the public will be able to stick to the restrictions that need to be imposed for any great length of time. The danger is implementing it too early, people doing it for a bit then get fed up and go back to normal, just before the peak infection rate is reached. i.e. we reach peak infection and nobody can be bothered any more which would then make it much worse. The price we pay for our freedom unlike the Chinese who live in a far stricter environment.

This is getting beyond a joke now. Some serious manipulation going on in the markets at the moment.

To my mind it beggars belief Gozzie. The dog show, Cheltenham and football all going ahead will not help the slow down of transmission. The government are slowly starting to wake up but at what cost?
