RE: Anyone seen the latest Navitas Presentation?9 Jun 2025 20:16
I noted in the report that Sea Lion FID has been described as 'expected' in H2 2025. Previously I believe the term used was anticipated. Unsure which term (anticipated or expected) held the more positive meaning I turned to AI (for the first time in my life).
I was however a little dissapointed to read the following response which suggests a more negative view:-
""Anticipated" often carries a stronger sense of eager anticipation or looking forward to something positive, while "expected" implies a more neutral or even cautious belief that something will happen. Therefore, "anticipated" is generally considered the more positive term. "
Undeterred, I revised my question slightly to allow for the fact that this doccument would originally have been written in Hebrew, and got the following response:-
In Hebrew, "anticipated" is often expressed as צפוי (tsafuy), which is generally neutral in tone and can be used for both positive and negative expectations. "Expected," in contrast, can be translated as תוחלת (to'h-let), which carries a more positive connotation, often implying a hopeful or desired outcome.
Languages can be facinating. Looks like it's game back on, phew!!
