You don’t takeover a company while potentially sea sting court cases are ongoing. You also don’t take on massive debt - you let the company go bust - then take it on minus the baggage.

Next someone will pipe up and suggest Warren Buffet might come in and takeover CINE.

We know the cinemas will be opening. We know they will be losing money hand-over-fist until the big blockbusters are on. We know the big blockbusters are getting moved/pulled because the studios know people won’t be there in big enough numbers to bring in the returns needed to break even.

I’m saying to myself to wait until mid-august to see where this share is going before investing ... but it’s more likely sometime in September before we’ll know how bad/good regional lockdowns have it, and how low/high visitor numbers are. Only then will we know the true financial situation and how the BoD will claw their way out of it.

Interesting share to watch!

.... oh and before this would go bust (which I’m fairly certain it won’t) - the BoD would do a rights issue for extra funds ... requiring the shareholders to invest more or take a dilution.

That’s the thing about share boards - at the point of interest, people post what their views are and they will always be “not yet the share price is too high” - but those already invested of course don’t like that view - and then when the investors waiting in the wings do finally get in then it’s their turn to join the ranks of “I don’t like your negative posts”.

It’s why everyone needs to be mature about things.

Today’s movements are nothing.

There are no big buys ... there are no big sells.
Today is a non-mover.
This means the chunky investors are waiting.

But yeah, big it up all you like.

But be very careful jumping in now. If you are happy to invest and see that value drop before seeing a return in a couple of years then that’s fine. If you are looking to maximise your return ... maybe wait until mid-august to see what the real picture is.

And above all, be careful! The world is rocking right now and there are very few safe bets ...

Absolutely.
Why have those big films moved? Because there will NOT be the customers to repay the cost. It’s written there for all to see.

Seems to me that a few guys in here are waiting for that next big spike ... yeah it might come, but you’ve got some rocky road to travel yet. Get ready for a couple more big movies to move and a really costly slow opening.

By mid august we’ll have a much clearer view of what is going to happen to CINE.

One day they will post an article saying LLOY is the best thing since sliced bread if the returns could be explosive.

The next day they will post that LLOY is a dead dog and it’s too risky to invest.

They try to appeal to everyone’s bias.

Aug 12 - Tenet ... it’s the start of the blockbuster films in the cinemas. But the footfall will be 1/10th of the average weekdays. The footfall during evenings and weekdays will be massively held back. Confusion over if it’s safe to visit cinemas, and online booking being the best way forward, will leave a lot of ‘on-the-fence’ visitors doubtful about visiting.

I’m not in here ... yet.
I don’t think now is the right time for me.

But any more ‘great’ news about research results and vaccines and I will miss the boat.

However, the company will haemorrhage money until the blockbusters truly fill seats to repay the losses firstly, and secondly start rebuilding the safety net.
