Seen a few adverts for subscription D2C recently, Pets at Home flea treatment the one that springs to mind. Would be interesting to know the client list as this is something that is definitely gaining popularity. Crazy that ingenuity is valued at a nil!!

I watched a delivery guy drop a Starbucks coffee to a student accommodation last week. Call it convenience or sheer laziness but the shift in younger folks shopping habits in the last couple of years is staggering!

I wonder whether it will be a sovereign wealth fund rather than PE whale to make the first move. We know the Candy bids were rumored to be backed in part by such. I'm not sure we have seen the back of Candy yet (even if acting in a similar role to Staveley with the Newcastle United takeover). Suspect some hands off debt free investment would suit MM and the board just fine!

Enjoyed this week with the bid situation now out of the way - isn't good to be constantly worried about share price or RNS landing. The groundwork that MM and the team have put in place is overlooked - purchasing of Bentleys labs, plastic recycling etc. This is a company geared for growth and new entrants will find it extremely difficult to compete with the scale of THG. Looking forward to the main market listing and staying a shareholder past IPO value. In the meantime, enjoying a beer and the nice weather. GLA!

Fitch rating for THG is much more positive compared to Ocado. 2024 seems to be the year when the M&Gs and ingenuity really start to pay off alongside the company becoming FCF generative. Hopefully alongside inflation being brought under control and likely bull market, could we the SP £6+ plus again? 2 years really isn't long to wait for the potential returns on offer.

Agreed Cantona standard not to grant DD for an unsolicited offer unless the major shareholders think there is discussions to be had - it's just a waste of everyone's time otherwise. I am concerned though now that the SP seems to just be attached to rumours. Let's see the board issue a plan for serving shareholders and less off the cuff comments by MM.

Oke yes agreed that separation will unlock value but just don't think it's the right time. We are getting a lot of mixed messages (comments over 'right environment for THG' etc.) I would like to see Allen steady the ship over the next few months - give shareholders a clear plan whether this is to start a formal sale process or commit to a long term listing. One thing is for sure the uncertainty is destroying the SP.

I don't think the separation will happen imo - given market sentiment and historic low valuation. What I would like to see is a firm commitment to deliver for shareholders. This starts with confirming a date for giving up the golden share and main market listing.

Each to their own, I am now ignoring the noise and trading at my own defined milestones starting at £1 and ramping up from there. I do believe in THG's LT prospects but unfortunately will need to free some cash over the next 18 months.

Oke if this was a boxing match the sell off has been similar to an 18 year mike tyson fuelled by emotion. However, I like to think THG have been doing the rope-a-dope and will come out swinging in the 11th round!

Taken my sorry arse to the pub - great what a few pints can do for perspective. Increased my holding today (which I didn't want to do) but good opportunity for some short term trading without impacting on my locked in shares. GLA

I think we're getting another RNS at close RE Candy.

Candy not even mentioned on the statement. He should be sanctioned by the FCA for being a tyrekicker!

What has the Candyman said to force the 2.7 statement is what I'm interested in. We know Belerion had at least 2 previous approaches rebuffed with no statement so shows what the BOD thought about their prospects.

Share buy back funded by SB seems like a win for everyone imo a) SB negotiate favourable terms compared to current agreement b) those that see the valuation around £2-£2.50 can sell c) LTH's are not shafted and can see SP stabilise at a more reasonable level.

Was never going to go private under Belerion - remember they have had three lowball proposals rejected already! We are still in a bid situation so other undisclosed proposals may be on the table. Has this forced softbank to pull their finger out? Is Candy not a tyrekicker after all? Let's find out tomorrow .

Looking forward in a year's time, I can't see how THG can remian listed. Whatever happens Thursday, we have gained good insight into major shareholders. A Balderton/Sofina/SB consortium just need to snap this up makes the most sense.
