Ubik - I think most of us are down in one way or another. I have been badly stung by THG and should have sold when the bids were on the table. Have realised now the best approach to have an agreed exit position and not get caught up in any hysteria posted on these boards.

Struggled to get my order through when this was 50% down OSG. From reading the RNS, no hint of any dead bodies from the board and standing firm on their previous statement. At these levels I am banking on either 1) Auditors flagging inventory levels and big bounce on the 30th August or 2) RevB becoming a distressed asset and THG et al making an offer

The RNS didn’t really make clear that guidance would be met - the statement read along the lines of “The company continues to trade in line with it’s own expectations” whatever that means! Think we are not far away now from MM playing his hand - Possibly take private around £2 a share with backing of major shareholders and re-float parts of the company post recession.

I’ll be buying in the morning - as HH and a few others have said ripe for THG takeover. Looking at REVB’s website - almost identical to Cult beauty Lookfantastic et al. I suspect REVB are already an ingenuity client in some form based on this.

This is a very interesting discussion and wouldn’t be surprised if MM acts given the cash on hand. However, I’m reluctant to discuss any other companies on this board given Lat’s bed wetting episode yesterday…

Lat the prat may be worth reading what I said before running your mouth - never made a comparison between MADE and THG. It was a comment about the market and current valuations in general.

The market is brutal at the minute. Although long term I still back THG, any hint of weaker than expected trading and we could be in for another big hit. Crazy what has happened with MADE, not a direct comparison but does show how far valuations have fallen back since last year.

Guys is anyone buying at these levels? I’ve got some spare cash but thinking THG is a hold at the moment. Considering investing in SFOR.

Separation complete, Softbank question dealt with. I'm fairly bullish that we will be getting strategic update over the next few weeks now. Either separate listing to be confirmed or Belerion/Candy come back into the mix (with the consent of the board) imo.

Hosai - I hope we are cash flow neutral by next year. My concern is THG like most other companies is not immune from inflation and market slowdown. My concern is that the conversation so far has been over possible takeovers etc. and the market will jump on any hint of weaker than expected results. We are now starting to see a bottom for the likes of ASC, however I do fear we will hit 50/60's range.

Read a summary of the Barclays report from the FT article, have to say a lot of valid points are raised. The board either need to sell now to unlock value for shareholders or take the hard road to start generating FCF. With the sheer scale of M&A and CapEX, there is a question mark as to whether further financing will be required by 2025.

You would like to think there is a big announcement in the pipeline, otherwise the whole bid situation will have been handled very poorly. Whilst I’m no expert, there has been clear inconsistencies with how the Takeover Rules were applied during the bid situation – Belerion had at least 2 proposals rebuffed with no RNS yet announcement was made when Candy was considering an offer. If the reporting is to be believed, Candy did make a proposal but yet again the BoD have cherrypicked which information to disclose! I still cannot believe we have a NED on the board that ‘significantly undervalues’ THG’s future prospects.
Let’s all hope MM has something up his sleeve, otherwise we could see 50p levels with a weak trading update.

It’s a fair comment. We have all been led on a fishing expedition over the last couple of months – a) GQ interview b) comments over ‘right environment for THG’. We have been promised spin offs and update on the golden share but nothing has materialised. We need something over the next few weeks otherwise I can see further drops.

I know the Boots portfolio very well ( can't say in what capacity) However, I know the 'significant investment' will be going on re-fitting stores that haven't been touched in 40+ years and sorting leaking roofs etc. Meanwhile, THG are investing in fully automated warehouses and acquiring the supply chain!

Rise in the SP is very positive – given how poorly the rest of the market and ‘comparable’ ASC & BOO are performing. Hopefully, a good sign that THG will start to become a stand out in the inflation and soon to be recession ravaged market. Big steps taken last year in securing the supply chain with targeted acquisitions alongside current whey price headwinds. Confident that we will see results in line with guidance which will be a massive achievement!

CEO's statement says intention to commence separation during H1 2022. There has never been any mention to say it will be complete in H1.
