Just thinking about an Eskom order . They have UN funding, but I wonder if there is a time limit to it. I say that as usually agencies who supply funding want kudos and political points - so want to see action. I doubt they would want to see a wait of a year before order.

And from Eskom's point of view, they have limited risk as its being paid for - they just need enough data to show it works well enough and not necessarily all the best parameters.

@MTJK - not sure why you think it is poor PR. The trial was due to start 3/4 months ago but an electrolyte manufacture issue was found so more had to be made.

The communication was last year and they said they expected to have the updated electrolyte by the end of 2018. End/early jan.. some testing and setup and off you go with the trial.

doubt it @Daitom... this is the aborted trial of last year delayed as there was an issue with the elctrolyte

Bit of a disappointing reaction. I thought the RNS was pretty positive. Maybe the market are all glass-half-fully types.

Only have a small holding but hopefully Bushy will have a nice significant rise just as the capital fund-raise takes place and I can top-slice some and buy a larger holding then. Not adding until fund-raise time. Not sure I see a quid in 3/4 years but a decent way up to there ought to be possible.

That is my point - if you do not agree, that is fine, but you must surely accept that the plant expansion is not going as smoothly as we had all felt or hoped ....

@pb940 ... the numbers rather suggest there has been an ongoing quality/control issue for some months. This is why the market has not reacted well I rather think - there was an expectation of better and over the past 2+ years FM has clearly wanted to under promise and over-deliver. Perhaps through nothing more than growing pains and actually being able to completely control the plant (not sure they did before the 74% ownership), events have conspired. Just look at what Ophidian and BBN presented last week - we all expected better Q4 numbers.. be honest .. there has been talk of a 'terrific' Q4 for some time.

In the end, a bit of pause is no bad thing. I-H has had some stick for his posts but I seem to recall one about group-think - right now we have a timely reminder - slow and steady rise is far better.

I don't think the Bushveld end point will change, just may take a few months longer to get there .. which is absolutely fine - no intention of selling any time soon
