Bella .. look at the value chain ... VFRB is a box filled with electrolyte. In essence there are 3 elements: The groundworks, The box and stack and the electrolyte

There is cost+ a small margin available for Groundworks
Cost + a bigger margin for the box (but I would be surprised if the gross profit was even 30%)
Then there is the Electrolyte - high value and margin along with long term income stream.

All the value to Bushveld is in the Electrolyte. Having a relationship with a boxpusher is just that - a means for them to guarantee supply and Bushveld to cream in the cash.

I see very little benefit to Bushveld in owning and developing the boxes. Why take the reduced margin when you can just make more electrolyte for everyone at high margin

I dont think Bushveld should be investing in suppliers - we need to supply Electrolyte to them all. As for a partnership with one (or more) to supply complete systems then that ought to be doable without spending lots of money and signing away anything. The long term value is in the leasing of Electrolyte, not owning stack IP and maintenance contracts

ReD has no money and is virtually insolvent. It is Avalon taking over. If it goes through then effectively there will be very significant dilution as I see it (happy to be proved wrong), but the amount (24M) is really the funding they see to get a viable product to market and operating capital. It is most definitely not what RED is worth which is a bag of crisps really. Their only IP is their supposedly snazzy Gen 3 stack .. but no one has seen it work in real anger.

Leaving Scott's gravy train salary and antics of asset stripping into another company (he owns), is Camco, my issue with Red boxes is no one knows if they really work. I do not mean, can I plug one in and off it goes, but real multi-cycle industrial uses test data - they have a few piddling boxes installed. Some of the many fund raises should have been used to put a wider base at peppercorn rent for real data.

Yet there are suppliers who make big stacks, big systems and have delivered.

I would say it is up to the RED shareholders, but it is not. The company will wind up or they accept a (probable) 95%+ dilution and hope they get a small amount of their investment back in years to come.

If FM has big chunks to invest then frankly building up Vametco, Vanchem and getting Mokopane and BE going into production is the priority

RetT is worth a bag of salt ! .. the 24M is for what .. development of Gen 4 !

As for Bushy investing, personally I would have for FM to put money into the pockets of such overpaid inept people - maybe if all the RedT seniors were got rid of perhaps, but there is nothing market data wise that says RedT's technology is any better than anyone else's and even that it works at scale.

Scott McG (supposedly gone, but keeps popping up in current news) is paid almost 4 time what FM is paid ... I know who I would rather give an F350 salary to !
