This afternoon I sat in my garden with a coffee, some cake and a book in the sun with one of my cats ... it was lovely but it took an hour before I realise that all I had heard in an hour was the birds from the woods behind our house. We live in a village but there is always some sound a car somewhere faintly ... just not this afternoon

Did rather strike me !

I just listened to much of Ramaphosa's address (the double echo on the you-tube clip just got too annoying at times). What struck me was how measured, calm and statesman like he was, and how he finished ...
"We are a nation of one and we will surely prevail ...."

There are many on this board with high risk health conditions. We have 3 elderly and frail parents and my wife has asthma ... we are all going to need the fortitude Cyril just showed in the days ahead.

All the SP moans about shorters and b'stard MM manipulation are noise. Real people are dying and lot more will go before their time across the world.

Well... They have the example of italy & Spain to make it crystal clear.... No point saying Boris should have done X,y or z... We have a much bigger economy... But we'll done SA... Let us all hope it works everywhere

3 years ago we were sat on a sunny balcony in Los Gigantes overlooking the tallest cliffs in Europe. Lovely and sunny and that holiday the SP went from circa 3 to 8 on the 59.1% ownership of vametco news ...

Since then we have gained full control, upgrades production, bought another plant and operation, gotten the Mokopane license through, bought a VFRB company (just about), and am building an electrolyte plant.

To say the current SP is irrational is the understatement of the decade.

no Drax .. I saw this detailed on a medical site .. not chucking fake anything out. In fact there are several virus trials already in early stage development.

It is the human safety testing that will take months/years. This would likely get circumvented if the virus was very much more infectious and had a much higher malevolent effect

There is however plenty of fake BS about and endless flapping from armchair virologists !
