BP announced 2 days ago, using New seismic technology, it has located a further 1 billion barrels in 2 Gulf of Mexico Fields. They also stated this technology had completed the discoveries in 3 weeks when old tech. would have taken 1 year.

Look at the timeline and SP chart at the time of the initial thread post! Perfectly reasonable comment given the downward run since what were pretty good results.

JKG53, agree. The dividend and it's pay day have been known for weeks and the SP had tanked more as a result of market and sector sentiment, which now appears to be recovering. Not before time imo.

Every investor's shares have the same value when it comes to votes, whether they paid 10p or 400p.

With respect, NO one is perfect. It is just the level of risk each investor is prepared to accept and then wait or have a stop-loss strategy. Any serious experienced investor will not continually rip apart the Corporate structure of the Company in whom they invested. The time to do that is at a GM. As for meeting a CEO, in my experience it is highly unlikely information will be revealed which is not already in the Public Domain otherwise regulatory consequences could follow.

GB when it comes to votes 1share has 1 vote and 1000 equates too 1000votes. So the small punter means little in the great scheme of things.

Bamps do hope the Carillion connection is wrong. I was warning PI's for months before it's demise and was called all sorts of names, some very unpleasant.

The concern here is the BOD are not dealing with the debt which if not careful will become unmanageable.
The dividend, on face value, is attractive, it is the ugly debt which worries. The AGM should provide answers to this growing liability.

West Pheonix was scheduled to be on Ragnfrid for 81days. That timescale expires shortly however given available information the rig has moved twice in the same location, so reasonable to assume 3drills have/are taking place in Raynfrid something may not have been forseen. It is probable WP operation is being extended and although NO general update has been notified, is it possible a further delay is known and consequently the SP is going south.

For a stock which, given the revised operational timescale, has remained fairly static until these last few days, it is quite remarkable given the known(lower) reserves why it is falling down.

Is it down to general market sentiment? If so fill your boots.
