Sturm, yes, one day Casc might just all be connected and operational and the consolation prize is the fixed price agreement which at he moment is a good deal. Then we should be able to drill some development wells to ensure extended life and increased production.
Royston has to some extent already proven itself in Royston 1 therefore i'm not concerned about it too much and +ve that it will be a producer, just that the rig removal is an unknown and the re-start of testing is currently unknown so we'll be in a state of limbo for a while. For those with the time left in their life to sit and wait, or the cash to top up then today's price looks to be a bargain.

The article quotes PB as saying ;- “I think the really key thing about the contract is that it is a wellhead price, so the only thing that comes off of that is a small amount for operating costs. When I say small amount, probably a nickel (US five cents) and then 12.5 per cent royalty and everything else goes in the bank for us, there is no transportation, there is no processing, there is no pipelines that we have to build or anything like that.”
He was a little off piste with his comment of no pipelines or anything like that being required innit.! ( Apart from the Coho pipeline and tie-in and the gas processing plant for Cascadura. )
@Sturm. No chance of it being just 2 months from now. Hat eating time if it is fully operational end of June. August more likely.

Tomorrow? RCE5 has had a further 10 days to settle down and the rig should at least be at CN if not spudded already. At least 1 company in my PF is actually doing what they said they would.

Still plenty to do then. June will be a tight timeframe.

Its not over the line though is it, they remain under negotiation. The positive is that it's still a live discussion.

Sparrow. It is possible, but unlikely just opinion tho. First Norte drill is a step out from currently producing well, so if we wait for that to come on line in about a month/6weeks then we should exceed 3000 without the Capella oil.

What more could we ask for from the company performance. !!
Rig already on the move, spud end of the month +/- by which time RCE5 may well have settled down to a steady state with no more water.

If anyone's good with the satellite photography perhaps they could check to see whether the rig is still on the Pad at Royston. ? This will tell us if they have started testing or not.

hope so. have been in/out/in/out of Kefi for donkeys. could do with a nice 5x SP by summertime after all of the years--same as many others :)

"always expect the unexpected and then deal with it!" was a common offshore mantra I guess as we used on our semi-sub. ( I thought we were unique at the time!) I even referred to that same sentence last week in my current job in construction/commissioning of an LNG importation project. I'm also getting on a bit and out of touch with the latest drilling methods but the essential competence amongst the drill crew remains paramount. No room for passengers. (Still have all fingers and toes but did come within a few centimetres of being wiped out by a chicksan swivel that fell 70ft from the derrick to the drill floor and glanced across the peak of my hard hat). Anyhow--sorry to bore. ATB

SpA. I drafted something similar earlier and then decided not to post. There isn't enough information in the rns to make a properly informed decision about it. What valve? did it fail to open or fail to close? Is this just a small control valve? was it a BOP? did the well flow unrestricted or was it still running through a choke? Hopefully its just a minor issue for the well and all will be ok in the next few weeks. rns was a bit vague.

Photo. It's something of a 'Marmite' stock but KEFI could do well. Mind you, this has been the case for some time and punters are getting impatient as always. They are progressing through a complex financial arrangement for a mine which is a first for the Govt, first for foreign investor and the process so far has taken years to get where they are today. They are also active in Saudi and in the process of obtaining a listing in Saudi-and continuing proving up their resource there. It's not the same as TXP in that we already know Casc will be successful, its more of a 'one day rodney' stock. I have a small investment there on the basis that the Mcap is small compared to where it would be if they align their ducks in some sort of orderly row and get the financing finally over the line. It is however more of a gamble and I am really not promoting it as the best thing since the aquisition of Ortoire, but if you want something to take a closer look at then there's nothing to lose by doing some research. best rgds as usual.

Adon. Did someone turn the gas on beneath the heater or something?. Is that what ZPHR are doing with the gas produced from 36-2? Minus 2 last week to plus 20 this week is something of a transformation.
