RE: Meanwhile, not so far away...23 Apr 2019 14:25
Hi Sidney-on-the-sideline,
(1) This is my first ever post re NCCL on the ZIOC board.
(2) ZIOC's 2 drivers are/were Elphick and Howarth. Elphick's other known interest is GEMD, Howarth's other known interest is NCCL. Some people think it useful/educational to know a bit about how these people do business elsewhere.
(3) There's recently been some correspondence here about a 6% share switch, where Kulczyk family appear to have sold down here...and A.N.Other (behind a trust, so unknown) bought in. Kulczyk has a 10%+ stake (via Polenergia) in NCCL.
(4) We are a small AIM co, trying to keep involved in a multibillion $ potential project, a 'connected' co is - perhaps - showing how that MIGHT be done.
(5) We can all learn about project finance from 'read-across' to other co's in similar situations - and manage expectations accordingly - hence past reference to Kore Potash and Kropz in C-B and various opportunistic offtake deals that GLEN has recently undertaken in Brazil, Canada, Ukraine and Australia. Now we have an example of a project (power plant, which we need), involving a Chinese company (which we arguably also need), under the BRI programme (ditto).
As someone who appears to follow/comment almost exclusively on ZIOC and occasionally GLEN, I'm somewhat surprised how little you seem to know/understand about investing in a company that clearly interests you.
Finally, I'd invite you to re-read the concluding summary of the post you take exception to:..."If so, the read-across for ZIOC (and how small AIM companies CAN occasionally avoid being squeezed out by the big boys in $ billion projects) would be a POSITIVE."
Hope this is a sufficient 'reminder'.
