Well, elsewhere - as I understand it - one trust passed to another.
Since - heaven forfend ! - it would be wrong, quite wrong, I tell you - to suggest that they were connected, I see why a declaration would be necessary.
But if SF (for example) was transferring from his SIPP (where he was sole beneficiary, apart from 'expressed wish' heirs) to a family trust (where he was one of the potential beneficiaries), I'm not sure that the potential dilution of his personal interest would warrant disclosure.
We'd be spared all this conjecture, of course, if Firststopthemoon would clarify/support his assertion..

I also queried these trades on advfn and clockworkorange was of the opinion that it was (a) too large to be a bed-and-isa ; and (b) most likely a pension transfer, without providing any supporting argument for either.

If the 2 x deals were just a personal reshuffle, I could see why an RNS might not be forthcoming.

I see that there were 2 x transactions for the same amount , very close together, from memory (I can't check now) without any special designation (O, UT, etc). And yet it was 'clear' what was going on.

Grateful if you'd share ie be a teacher, so I - and others - can fish for ourselves in future.

The Central Bank (assumed Italian) will be more concerned with the oversight/health of the banking system and protection of depositors than accounting issues.

As it stands, AZ + associates will have significant influence on/control of the origination/sourcing of business (including credit-checking and due diligence), via SYME; the security arrangements, via StockCo ; the funding/selling to investors of the related paper, via SYME/Private Bank; and the financial through-flow, via Private Bank; with " governance supervision ...overseen by the Financial Partner".

With the best will in the world, there's a lot of potential for conflicts of interest there and I think AZ+ being involved at every stage of the process will (or should) give any competent regulator pause for thought.

I started with 'no disrespect' . My partner is a published author, so believe me, I'm aware of the nuances and sensitivities.

My comments were from Amazon, your view from Waterstones, so we're not necessarily comparing like with like. I know something about Amazon , I don't know Waterstones.

I don't wish to denigrate Ms Chishti (why should I ?), but I think it's wrong to bill her uncritically as a 'master of the Universe' when on the face of it, she isn't, on the face of it a 'solid performer'. Nothing wrong with that, btw, we should all be so highly regarded.

I think there's a certain amount of poetic license understood as part of the industry.

I can tell you, again from my partner's direct experience, that Amazon's record-keeping (and payment ) for hard copy and Kindle are both timely and accurate .

Moving from the nun on the fool ('verging on the ridiculous'), SYME should really be looking at somebody like Caterpillar.

I worked with them all over the M East 20-30 years ago and the USP amongst all the different agents everywhere was the same : a high stock level. The target was 97-98%.

Why ? Because your farmer/construction manager can't afford down-time whilst he waits for spares for his irrigation pump or dozer . Conservative people (as farmers have to be) understand false economy.

That inventory storage carries a cost, SYME should be targeting majors like CAT, rather than the penny -ante stuff with the SME's

I think the tracking potential is great : BOO (where I have a now small stake from 26p) is in the spotlight at the moment over sourcing issues.

Imagine if they could tag a T-shirt (cost is immaterial , AIUI) from factory/sweatshop to retail outlet - no black labour, no VAT cheating...pure Fairtrade, to paraphrase.
I wonder why no political party is pushing for this genuine 'track and trace' ?

I've had a quick look at Chisti's publishing over on Amazon..

My partner is a published author there, so I have a basic understanding of how it works.

Looking at Chishti's offerings :
- Fintech for Dummies : 5 authors, 0 reviews;
- Paytech : One positive review, 1 negative review, the positive review from a self-acknowledged contributor;
- InsurTech : an edited collection;
- AI Book : 'basic, lots of authors, crowd-sourced'
- WealthTech : 'different authors, condensed (71 used out of 210 contributors)'.

A bit thin, IMO. But DYOR and see what you think. Or not.
