I agree with you Steve. I wouldn’t expect RR to put any money into VLS. I’m thinking more along the lines of partnering. As you know, RR test their engines so why not test them on bio fuel? Easy win for them.

No basis, other than RR’s support for biojet fuel and by association, VLS.
VLS is the only jet fuel actor in the UK, so it would make sense for RR to have some kind of relationship, especially given they are both UK companies (well, VLS is arguably half. american). Pure speculation, but possibly some merit.

YBD. Unfortunately that’s not the case. I’ve simply picked apart the news report and explained it for what it is. As many of you are up to the hilt with VLS, you only read what you want see and fail to miss the detail.
I’m not ‘in’ with this one right now and I don’t think we’ll see a jump from this ‘news’ piece. However, if there’s a spread in the Sunday Papers about this, then maybe we’ll see a blue day for a change.
What is really needed is evidence of real funding. Where’s that AltAlto share agreement people we’re getting all excited about, the deadline for which has come and gone?

Hi Sean. Cross parliamentary for aviation recovery. The plant is £350m, not £500m. The Gov funding for Vls has already happened and more will come from the F4C. You’re delusional to think the Gov will pay for a plant to be built. It’s the private sector that needs to foot the bill. Maybe BA/Shell will enable that, maybe they won’t in full. Time will tell.
Btw, this is not trolling; I’m simply not looking at this through rise tints like most people on here so. Seem like you’ve been sucked into the hype as well. Shame really, as I saw you more of a level headed technical man. Good luck.

Thurg. I can’t comment on the large after hours selling and buying. Who knows. What I do know is this this latest PR effort is associated with aviation as a whole, not just VLS. In addition, this is a ‘plea’ to the Government for funding, not a commitment by the government to fund anything. Also, recall that during the Shapps speech, he said that ‘we have already invested in sustainable fuels’’, meaning the F4C.
I’m my opinion, this new plea may free up some funding for green aviation in general and could release another tranche of funding from the F4C. I think the Gov has done its bit to help VlS get moving. It’s now up to the private sector to fund the remainder and definitely not expect the tax payer to fund the lions share of it.

Not quite. Those companies have proven hardware and processes that do not rely on many other elements to be able to be used. If you wanted to compare ITM, PHE, EQT with VLS, then you can only look at the VLS reactors. VLS have only sold a handful of these, unlike the aforementioned, who have multiple orders.

It’s not failing me. The sp rose to about 5p after that announcement.
Then, the next week, Shapps did his thing and it tripled. Its now back down at 6p, with a placing in between.
Like I said, this needs good news to shine as there is nothing else to show at the moment - no substantive revenue, no real assets etc.

Unless there is some big (positive) news, this will languish for weeks. We all know the 16p spike was based solely on Grant Shapps. I don’t think we’ll ever see such a high profile public announcement again, so it’ll be up to BA/Shell to put something out there to get this moving.

Not really. Just on the money whilst maintaining a reliable strategy of trading the news with this this stock. You only need to look at the spikes and drops when overlaid with news releases/podium PM splurges and you’re there.

Now in the range i predicted last week (high fives low sixes) . That happened sooner than I thought however. Needs positive funding/partnership updates otherwise we are headed further south imho.
