PSwig - absolutely no disrespect for shareholders. You’re all grown ups and make your own choices in life. It’s up to you to consider all the facts, positive and negative, before you press ‘execute’. Im just pointing out certain aspects that others either chose to ignore, gloss over or just don’t understand.

IM. Instead of getting upset with my posts, please make an attempt to counter my arguments. Then we might be able to have a constructive debate rather than you getting piqued by future potential, with little regard to the present challenges and facts.

As for your example, those issues were very real and delayed the decision timeline of the planning permission by several months. Planning was indeed not granted on the originally proposed sewer discharge methodology. VLS had to rethink their submission.
Again, these are facts. Feel free to debunk the facts.

The facts are: poor track record in raising finance (lack of progress at Mississippi is an example of this) and the predictable need to issue shares (free money) to keep the lights on and progress.
No development experience
No proven full process experience (waste to jet fuel)
Lack of material commitment from Partners
No commitment to option agreement from Partners etc etc.
Also the repetitive nature of the language in the annual reports. How many more years will pass before the illusive ‘on boarding’ of investors will actually happen.
Trade the news on the one. Short term good punt, long term avoid imho.

No I’m not selling individual shares. I’m not even sure what effect that has.
COVID will affect near term progress which will put additional demands on funding. They may not need a raise to cover the multiple executive salaries (£250k +) for the next year or so, but if COVID hangs around we may see a significant impact which who’ll have lasting effects.
My other comments are all fact based. No, demo plant, no developer experience, poor record in fund raising etc. I’ve repeated myself now!

COVID is referenced as a risk in the Annual Report, so suggest you take it up with Henrik. The ‘partners’ have only put in a few million. VLS had to resort to a placing to raise the funding needed to advance the project. The partners haven’t even exercised their AltAlro options.
As for steps to prove, I’ll just be repeating myself - you know the facts I often state.

There are many uncertainties about the future of VLS and it’s not all COVID related. Many steps to be taken/proven before any notion of financing could be entertained.
I think the current sp is commensurate with the current company status, if not a touch on the high side.

Problem is, when it comes to divesting into a new business (ie biofuel production), most oil majors tend to invest into established tech. VLS is yet to be established. Add COVID into the equation, and it’ll take a brave company to stump up costs. As you’ll have seen from the recent annual report, there is a fundamental concern that AltAlto will be delayed significantly due to COVID, which may threaten long term prospects. Oh well, they’ll just have to have another placing to pay salaries until things improve.

Looks like the local refinery is taking biofuels into their own hands..

I have not seen any other SAF plant that is built at or close to a CCS project, so I agree that this is a key differentiator in the case of VLS.
In the waste to energy space, we can strip CO2 out of the flue gas then pump it to underground storage - normally spent gas fields. This is what Drax will be doing, so I assume Vls will be doing the same.
The only challenge with the Drax CCS is that it’s a very expensive project, compared with other UK ccs proposals, so the price per CO2 ton stored might be expensive. Again, policy support is needed to make it happen.

Suspect VLS price is similar, given the huge costs of the plant.

Hi Donatron. Out of interest, would VLS be able to raise that much given what the proceeds would be used for? In this case, building a high risk project? That puts all the risks outlined previously, on the PI, which seems wrong. Wouldn’t some vetting be needed to ensure it’s not PI money down the pan?

ps - people on here continually attempt to put me right, or claim that I’m lying or making stuff up. There is no fiction here. My opinions are my own and are based on the long term outlook of this business. It’s well known on here that in trade the news and will continue to do so. It’s a good stock on that regard. However to those who are closer to the industry, such as waste to energy, getting this built will take more than just high profile backers.

The parties you mention are involved (at pennies level might I add) due to the fantastic PR and the simple lack of any other meaningful market entrant. We are not exactly awash with companies trying to do this and unless Enerkem or some other similar outfit show up, they have the field to themselves.

Shell have made some big investments recently regarding Hydrogen and Carbon Capture, yer they are still, after almost 3 years, a million or so into VLS, meanwhile VLS have had to resort to yet another Placing to raise funds to keep the project alive. Oh, and what happened to the AlrAlto Option for BA sand Shell? That deadline came and went.
